It work right away. No problem, except getting the internet connected. That was probably my ineptness.

Works great straight out of the box and feels more durable than the original

I loved the remote control it comes with and how easy it is to connect to the TV. I highly recommend it.

The originally LG "Magic Remote" that came with my LG TV had really good button layout; however, it has one major problem, and most other people complain about the same thing: it has a screen cursor that it controls, and automatically turns on if you move the remote too much as you hold it. So even if you hold still and it shuts off, if you move too much to the right or left, it automatically turns back on, and starts selecting things in different areas of the TV screen. Then, even if you hit the 'back' button to shut it off again, now some item on the far side of the screen is selected, and you have to hit the arrow buttons over a ton of times to get back to where you want to be. And this just keeps repeating. LG, for some dumb reason, will allow you to adjust the speed of that cursor, but refuses to let you permanently deactivate it in the TV settings for some reason. They are one of the only companies in the world, that I know of, who take away your freedom to control your device, and to disable really bad features they created, like this cursor. Every other company in the world gives you the option to disable things like that, but not LG. They apparently like to control people too much. On the (somewhat) bright side, this remote -- the "Original LG AKB75095307 Smart TV Remote" -- is similar, except it does not incorporate that dumb cursor that's on the "Magic Remote". The cons with this remote are, the button layout is less optimal than on the Magic Remote, and it's slightly laggy, but not terrible. It also does not have voice activation/integration like the Magic Remote; however, the Magic Remote never interpreted voice commands accurately, in my experience, so there's no real loss there. (On a side note: Apple TV's remote interprets voice commands almost 100% accurately all the time, from my experience with them for years. I'm not sure why LG's remote is so much worse at it than Apple's.) Either way, even though this remote could be better in many ways, it's definitely worth buying this, if for no other reason than to get rid of that stupid "magic remote" cursor on the screen. Everyone complains about it, but not many people know about this remote! I lived with stress from that stupid cursor for most of the year on my 48" LG TV before I finally saw someone mention this remote online. And I'm very glad I purchased this, and chucked the magic remote in the trash. So, if you are also frustrated with the magic remote cursor, order this one, and you'll be living much happier!

Lo adquiri aun sabiendo que nones el original...y la vdd no me arrepiento...la sensacion al tacto es mejor que el original...y funciona sin necesidad de configurar nada...solo 1 par de baterias nuevas y listo a usarlo.. Mi pantalla es de 55 pulgadas smart tv lg..
