My 94 year old mom has trouble getting on and off the couch because she sits too low will this help?

Perhap look into purchasing replacement feet for the couch that are taller than the ones she current has on her couch. Should be easy to unscrew the old ones and screw in the new ones. Raising the height of the couch will make it easier for your mother to sit down on and get up from the couch.

I purchased one and it helped some. Would it be beneficial to purchase a second one to make it thicker/sturdier?

I doubt it! I folded mine to double it and sat only above it and it helped for a little while, but eventually wasn’t really helpful anymore. I’m thinking of getting a piece of plywood and maybe covering it with cloth. Good luck!

My couch is not 66" long. Can the panels be cut?

See no reason you could not easily cut thru the sections. Fold (sections) at about every 9 1/8 inch . Just plastic at these areas. Could cut at each of these increments with scissors to get item small enough to fit. ie... Cut off one little section you would have about 57" etc
