3rd one I've owned
This is the 3rd one I've owned in the past 10 years or so. Great little EDC knife that keeps an edge and tucks into your pocket nicely.

Small knife - some issues, but has character.
It seems silly to hold this knife in my hand, after holding an M16 Desert Dog. This is like a MiniCooper among Hummers.I try desperately to avoid products made in China, but CRKT keeps enticing me to cave in. However, not all of their knives are excellent, and not too many will rate 5 Stars. I have four very good ones, but not one of them has earned a 5-star rating from me. This is one of those for two reasons - the mechanism, and the price. The thumb studs won't open this knife. Forget it. You can try 'til the cows come home, but it ain't gonna happen. The flipper will, but the knife will open completely only with a herculean flick of my wrist. The bearing washers are either too tight, too thick, or the wrong material. Lockup is positive and rigid however, with a solid "snap". There is no side-play. One reviewer said that his knife has no steel liner, but mine clearly does.I will always prefer a spear-point blade, and I'll always favor a blade without serrations. Those are two of the reasons I selected this knife. The blade of this little squirt is pretty darn sharp out-of-the-box, but I could feel some unstropped grinding-burrs, so I gave it a few swipes with a Lansky, which quickly brought it up to snuff. It's incredible how small this knife looks and feels in my hand after holding a Desert Dog, but that's why I chose it. I simply wanted a lightweight "pocket knife", and this might fill the bill. The pocket clip is NOT reversible, so it has to be carried tip-down unless you want to tote it like loose change. It's fairly comfortable to hold. My thumb rests nicely on the spine-jimping, (nicely deburred) with my forefinger behind the flipper. The sharpened blade will pass the paper/cardboard test with flying colors, and will cut packing tape, plastic soda bottles, blister packs, quarter-inch cotton & nylon rope, and will easily stab through sheetrock (I don't recommend you try that without gloves on).As compact and lightweight as this knife is, and as sharp as the blade is, I can picture employing it as a feature pocket knife. Not as a "carry knife", but as a legitimate, handy, ol' fashioned "jack knife". Comparably, the SOG Flash I is a better knife, but it's much bigger and more expensive. The Kershaw Cryo is a good price, but it's much heavier. I'll stick with the CRKT.It certainly doesn't warrant 5 stars, but it's not bad enough to deserve only 3. I recommend it, with the caveat that you won't be impressed with the mechanism, and it's slightly overpriced.A fun little knife!4 stars..

GREAT VALUE FOR AN EVERYDAY CARRY KNIFE!!
I bought this knife for everyday carry when wearing dress clothes (suit/dress slacks). I bought the more 'aggressive' version with the tanto point/serrated blade to wear with jeans/casual clothes (M16-10KZ). Both knives could be carried in either situation as they are extremely lightweight and thin. This knife is slightly thinner than the M16-10KZ, but you could wear either in suit/dress slacks with no issue. Both fit/clip on the inside coin pocket of dress slacks to completely conceal them while leaving them accessible. I choose to carry the slimmer version with dress clothes just as a matter of personal preference. Also, if I had to use it at work to open a box, etc., it wouldn't seem so out of place.I am not a knife expert, so will leave it to others to comment on the technical aspects. From an everyday carry standpoint, I don't even notice I am wearing it. The blade length is sufficient for 'urban' self defense situations and would appear to be strong enough for that application if needed. The blade was extremely sharp right out of the box. The flipper works great and is not too tight nor too loose. Some have expressed concerns about the "sharpness" of the flipper, but the knife I received does not feel sharp at all. The thumb stud could be a little taller, as it is more difficult to open if you rely on that alone. If that is your preferred method, you may want to look around. However, with the flipper being so accessible, not sure why you would even need the thumb stud. The flipper serves as a hand guard when the knife is open and is one of the features I really like on this knife. This knife does NOT have a safety button to keep it locked open. With that being said, when it is open, I don't see any reason why it wouldn't stay that way. With a little practice, you could become proficient at closing with one hand if you wanted to do so. For $20+/-, I can't imagine finding a better quality knife that is so reasonbly priced!

Best edc
I have had this knife for only a few months but it replaced the same model that I had lost after 3 years of use. Great work knife that after getting used to the additional lock, is my favorite edc knife. Insanely sharp out of the box and easy to keep an edge. Worth every penny.
