Aircrew brevets or wings are to this day awarded by the RAF after completion of a significant stage of flying training and are worn on the left breast. These are the WW2 pilots variants, with the letters ‘RAF’ embroidered inside a brown wreath beneath the King’s crown, with a swift's wing on each side. They are embroidered on a navy blue padded backing and measure approximately 12.5 cm from wingtip to wingtip. These wings are reproductions modelled on the World War 2 style wings.
