only 1 out of 5 pieces worked. Replacement: All good
So, I just used the example code in arduino-IDE to blink the blue LED on the board. While code was uploaded successfully to all 5 units, only one of the ESP-01blinked the LED. Other 4 pieces did nothing. As a second try, I uploaded another code to connect to wifi. The ESP-01 that blinked its LED connected successfully. Others did nothing. No messages on the serial monitor as well. Further, all the 4 duds have the PINs labelled on the back side. Working piece do not have this annotation. I have asked for a replacement. Will update this review after I receive the new set.update: Received the replacement order today. this time two of them refused to blink. After several unsuccessful tweaks, they decided to work when I erased all flash contents before uploading the same sketch. I don't know what was there in the flash - It should have been clean for a fresh piece. In any case, bottom line: All 5 are working.
