Amazing pen

I was not sure what to expect with this pen. I Normally go for pens from China or stick to the more mid-range western pens. The Build quality is okay, but the plastic does feel a little cheap, at this price you would expect a little better. I was also disappointed to discover that for some reason this pen has been designed not to accept converters. Also, the Grip on the pen is rather uncomfortable, the bottom seems to dig into my fingers.Having said this, however, the pend does write very well, it gives a nice wet medium line. Also, the design is very nice. Whilst this is not a bad pen to add to your collection if you just want an everyday writer that is cheap and reliable I would sooner recommend the Lamy Safari.

This pen is a very elegant piece of design. Caped, it looks like a piece of sculpture! And as a pen, has excellent ink-flow and a very smooth nib. The cap doesn't 'post' - sit on top of the pen - easily, but the balance while writing uncapped is fine. I'd suggest getting the converter for bottled ink, too - gives you a better choice of ink colors than just those cartridges Pelikan happens to make.

I purchased this for my daughter who prefers to write with a fountain pen but has some difficulty with more conventional pens where she holds them too close to the nib and becomes smothered in ink as a result. The shape of this pen is extremely comfortable and teaches good positioning for the fingers when using a liquid ink pen. The ink flow is excellent and the pen rarely skips or blots. Overall, this has been one of the better pen purchases I have made.

Nice ergonomics, although slightly bigger than what I would have expected. I am not impressed by the quality of the plastic, which can be scratched very easily, ruining completely its appearance.

the looks, the nib and the grip are very good. However, what's with the whole cheap plastic thing?such a nice idea, such nice product and then plastic.....also, when you grip the pen correctly, the nib faces to the side rather than front...Parker has the same price fountain pens of much higher quality. The only reason i got this Pelikan was because of the way it looked. I guess it is ok.
