This product is very sturdy and works as intended. However, mine started rusting after the first wash. That is really disappointing because my mom has had her stainless steel mortar and pestle for 3 decades and she’s still using it.

I had purchased this with a bit of hesitation due to other reviews. My stainless steel mortar and pestle arrived today and looked great. I planned to use it for grinding of food so I washed it. It immediately began to rust on the bottom of the bowl. Completely useless for use in cooking.

The product is good and sturdy but honestly really small. I didnt realize how small it was until i held it. I dont like the shallow mortar so i thought this would be taller. But nah

Before I used it for the first time I thought I’d give it a rinse. I was astonished how horribly it rusted by one rinse. Orange rust everywhere.I would have accepted rust on the outside but it was all rusted inside. The product is unusable unless you never want to wash it.
