This is one of those things that, after you use it, you wonder how in the world you ever survived without it! I'm a speech and language therapist and put all sorts of picture cards in it during sessions. Before I had this incredibly handy table-top chart, I would just lay picture cards on the table, which obviously meant that the students had to look down rather than forward. Since the majority of my students are hearing impaired, they should be looking forward either at my mouth or their mouths in a mirror. Having all the cards in an upright display allows for a quick review at the end of a session. I also use the chart for language therapy, such as sorting pictured objects by category or displaying pictures for games, such as "Raccoon Rumpus." I appreciate the blank wipe-off cards that were included in the purchase price, as well as the plain black background that makes a perfect foil for colored picture cards. I ordered this after another teacher recommended it. My hanging chart was bulky and I wanted something more different. This is perfect! It is sturdy and durable. It folds away when not in use so it it’s taking up precious classroom space.

I use this in my preschool classroom for both large group and small group activities. I took out the "whiteboard" inserts that came with it and put in numbers 1-20. But then I can also use the inserts to individualize different small groups for math and literacy. So please with it that I bought 2.

The set of 20 cards I received happened to be Non-dry erase on both sides and did not notice until I went to wipe/erase them to do another lesson with my daughter other than that the pocket board is very sturdy and solid. Doesn't flop over like other ones.
