Gigabit Ethernet Media Converter with a Built-in 1Gb Multimode SC Transceiver, 10/100/1000M RJ45 to 1000Base-SX, up to 550m, with a British Power Supply

I was fed up with bad wifi in my outbuilding so bought 100m of dual fibre and this pair of units. Although the fibre had to take some quite sharp bends in conduit once installed I'm easily getting more than 900mbps both ways reliably so very happy. Of course I stupidly bought fiber with the wrong connectors but some cheap adapters on this site fixed that.

I inserted these 2 units into my network, between the Cisco switch and my audio streamer. This broke the electrical connection and replaced it with a fibre optic one. This has the advantage of not transferring electrical noise from my server. I have powered the last optical receiver in this chain, not with the supplied power adapter, but with a spare 5v 1amp DC lead from my linear power supply. I'm very pleased with the affect on my hifi system.

Great product and price- works exactly as advertised. Excellent follow up from the seller. Will wouldn't hesitate to buy again from the same people.

They seemed to work fine for a little while but I’ve just had to swap out a second set for some from another brand due to failure, after a while they seem to just start dropping out at random intervals and eventually just fail to transfer data all together, not particularly impressed as there’s no follow up after the 30day return period

I purchased 5 units in May 2023, out of 5 units only one works, The devices arrived when I was out of town so it took me more than one month to start testing the devices, as a results I cannot return the devices due to Amazon only one month return policy. Very disapointed!
