Great deal for the money - Windows 10 only
This unit is an exceptional condition. It was very clean with no marks and everything works well. I do recommend Odyssey Computers from this experience. This laptop is an I-5 7th gen Intel chip that misses the cutoff for Windows 11 legally. You can bypass, but I will not to maintain updates and at $170 with 16GBs of RAM, no need to worry for quite awhile. Very satisfied for what I intend to use it for.

PC defective and terrible customer service
Right out of the box the PC would not run with Windows 11. That was bad enough but then the seller, BEST REFURB, took 3 days to respond to my request for support. While they responded that they could fix it, it then took them another 4 days to come back to ask when I could have them attempt to fix it online – by then I had already returned it and already received a great replacement from another more competent vendor. Not only does BEST REFURB have terrible customer service and response but their lack of attention to detail was equally evident....It was only a DEL computer, see the 1st attached photo - If they missed this, what else did they miss? No wonder it didn't work. As for the computer model itself, I had a 7290 for 5 years with extensive travel use and it was a workhorse, no amount of tossing it around and spilling coffee and beer on it could affect, it so it boils down to what's actually inside and who does the refurbishing – they are supposed to be Amazon Certified…. I can only advise folks to not go with BEST REFURB as in my books they are clearly WORST REFURB (and just how did they get certified by Amazon???).Look closely when searching because the silver lining was that I found the same model with better hardware, a back lit keyboard, and fingerprint option all for $28 less and a seamless startup, kudos to TekRefurbs….and they actually sent me a full DELL....and more quickly too!

Great laptop, smaller size
I bought this smaller laptop to use when I fly. The size is perfect for the tray table or on my lap.

Everything works but....
Specs all line up, functions fine...except battery doesn't hold a charge like it should, ie standby overnight, dead in the morning

light weighted and execute fast
This laptop is very light, which is important to me since I need to carry the laptop in my backpack whole day. The settings of this laptop are advanced since they are configured for industry. The CPU and SSD are super fast. It also has more RAM than most home-use laptops settings. I have used this laptop for 3 months, the quality is good so far.

Dead on arrival
The laptop was charged for 12 hours after arrival before first being powered up. It wouldn't complete a BIOS boot initially, saying the system time was not set - a bad sign. Entering the BIOS, the date was 2018, which was when it was manufactured - another bad sign. The BIOS showed battery health as "Poor", even when at "100%" charge. Once the date was set, it would get through the BIOS boot, trundle trying to boot Window, fail and go into a PC recovery mode, and then fail at that. Unplugged from the charger, it goes from 100% charge to 0% in just a few minutes. The BIOS log shows the battery was drained to a critical level in 2021. Obviously defective upon shipment.

SOLID
These machines are solid and well worth the cost. The warranty is still valid after you do a change of ownership with Dell.
