This magnet is great. It has a 15lb rating. Most handguns are only a couple of pounds, so no worries there. It's also rubber coated, so it won't mar the firearm.However, just toss the included 3M strip in the trash, as it's 110% useless. Use the included screws (or use your own, of course...if they're too long).

I installed this inside a camping trailer and believe it would hold on all off road conditions if used that way.

Used it to mount a Taurus Model 856 to the dashboard underneath my steering wheel. Worked exactly as I hoped it would. I used both the 3M mounting tape and the provided metal screws when mounting it - it's nice and secure on the dash and it holds the revolver firmly in place when driving.

Magnet almost too strong

It's a nice accessory to have. My dad bought one and wanted more, but the local gun shop sold it for way too much and it was kind of a turn off, but I found it on here for a much more reasonable price. We hard mounted these units for a lasting hold and it works great.

Tried sticking it to multiple locations in my vehicle. Would not stick to anything. Would not recommend if you’re going to try to stick it to something, I’m sure the screws would work fine if you want to put screw holes in your dash.

Doesn’t stick to anything!!!!
