Even though they are 99% plastic they do a great job for me. The lead advances well, the sharpener does its job, although it seemed when I was using it, it did fill up quickly and the only way to empty it is to turn it upside down and tap it on scrap paper. I wish I could find cheap metal holders, but these will do until I get rich or the price comes down.

Pretty good value as they're pretty inexpensive compared to the Staedtler. They're fairly light weight (a little too much for my taste). The chrome looking grip isn't solid metal, but plastic. I suppose that's to be expected at the price. The built-in sharpener is nice.

I heard about them from an online art teacher. So glad I tried them! I like how the weight stays consistent no matter the length of the lead.

Good writing tool. Mechanism is better than those 15 years ago.
