Lasts a long time
We use these constantly for clipping cow hair before a surgery. The doctors prefer these type of blades because they can be switched out quickly if needed when on a farm call.

Love the blade, incompatible with attachment combs
I have the Easy Clip Groom Detachable Blade Clippers (item: 21485) and bought these blades specifically for shearing my english angora rabbits. These blades fit perfect and work very well on my angoras, as this is the only one that will actually clip their wool! Please note that these blades will NOT fit with the attachment combs included with my clippers and possibly many others, even though they say universal. The 40 blade is so short that it WILL cut skin severely and should NEVER be used without a guard or comb. I ended up purchasing the Andis 9-Piece Small Comb Set (Item: 12860) and they fit perfect with this blade.I did not reduce the stars for this, as the product itself is fantastic!

Blade runs cool
I would never buy anything other than a ceramic edge. The blades never get hot like the traditional blades. they run cooler. They don’t tarnish they don’t wear out.

Primarily for surgery preparation according to another Andis blade web site
When I was ordering this and the 30 ceramic edge blade, I didn't realize they were primarily used by vets for surgery or lab preparation (shaving right down to the bare skin). According to the Andis instructions the snap-on combs work best with the 10, 30, and 40 blades. Some groomers use the 10, 30, and 40 blades in conjunction with various sizes of snap-on combs depending upon the breed of pet and style desired. I gave a 5 star review because I didn't want to downgrade the product rating just because there is nothing wrong with the blade but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it to DYIS home groomers unless they use it in conjunction with a proper snap-on guide combs. The blade was packaged very well and arrived within the estimated delivery time.

First time I've tried a Ceramic blade reminds me of the old A5 blades
Interesting idea. Will see if these hold up over time. So far used for about 2 hours and they work great.Got tired of my cordless clippers not having the power to clip a horses bridlepath. Bought these for my new corded clippers and they seem to work. They look like the old A5 Blades from the 90's only with a plastic looking front blade.

Great quality and value!
I've always been happy with Andis blades and find these to fit my needs the best. I use this along with combs on my Andis clipper to cut my Westie as well as my mom's Westie and my sister's Shih Tzu. My Westie has a softer coat for the breed and my mom's is much more coarse. My sister's Shih Tzu's coat is soft and cotton like. It works well for all 3 types of coat and stays sharp for many grooming sessions. The price on Amazon along with having Prime makes this the best place for me to purchase it as well. I've been very satisfied with these and won't go to anything slightly cheaper for another brand, because these really do last well and do a great job.
