Sunset Trading Arrowback Dining Chair, 38", Antique Black/Cherry

The first set I ordered arrived with a broken chair leg in a heavily damaged, wet box. The return & exchange were easily accomplished. The second set of chairs are perfect!

I bought these chairs for their higher backs and the double rungs underneath to rest my feet on. So far, they are great chairs. I bought 2 pairs.

The chairs look great and the style and color are perfect for our dining table. They are also very comfortable for hardwood chairs. But, the manufacturer's quality control is disappointing, to say the least. Of the first shipment of four chairs, two had to be returned for replacement. Several of the back spindles had never been attached at the factory or came loose during shipping. The chairs were unusable and beyond any normal repair effort. However, the vendor, Sunset Trading, was very accommodating and quickly sent us replacements that were in much better condition, although even those had a couple spindles that had to be popped back in place. The chairs should last several years without rough treatment.

What a wonderful set of wooden chairs. Arrived fully assembled, packed securely, no marks or scars. Heavy and real wood. They match perfectly with my antique yard sale table find.

These are nice looking chairs. Unfortunately they both broke within 6 months. I notified Sunset Trading by email and they promptly shipped two replacement chairs.I am a big person, but well under the stated weight limit of 350 pounds. With the new chairs I will be careful not to skid them across the floor, but rather get up, move them, and then sit down again. Let's hope the new chairs hold up better.I gave them a 4-star review mainly because of their hassle-free replacement.

PRODUCT CAME IN BOX THAT WAS VERY DAMAGED, RETAPED MULTIPLE TIMES. SPINDLES WERE OUT OF BOTH CHAIRS AND DO NOT FIT PROPERLY

I got this to match an existing dining set i have owned for the last 10 years. Came pretty close. Very well made and beautiful chairs. Came packaged well right to my apartment doorstep.

The first set arrived with one of the two chairs cracked down the middle of the seat. Amazon arranged for UPS to pick that set up and replaced them with a set that isn’t perfect but is usable. Better quality control is needed. Amazon did well.
