I got these for a multitude of reasons, I needed some for myself and for clients filling out paperwork. I found these clipboards that went along with my minimalist work aesthetic. They were not overly feminine or the standard grade pressed cardboard. They are quite close to perfect. The foundation is your traditional clipboard with a glossy black wood-grain skin. The skin is very smooth, but has light wood-grain texturing. Both sides are covered, but the smooth and laquered edges are very square, so "papercuts" could be a small issue if you caught it wrong. I just sanded mine down before I put them into practice since they are handed off frequently. They have a glossy finsh that looks like black metalic wood, the woodgrain shimmers in the light. They are study and well made, but they show a slight discoleration when they pick up oils from hands and fingertips. It is subtle, but easily seen if you look for it. At first I was irked by it, but I found it is helpful when disinfecting between sessions to see the difference and know it's clean

These were unusable for me due to a big logo that is lasered into the front of them and not shown in the photo.

These chip easily, revealing the chipboard and taking away from the black appeal,

I opened the packaging and shrink wrap around the items and one came cracked in half. It's not worth my time to have these all replaced for just one new clipboard.

Quality like it. But bit expensive

These feel and look great! They're a good alternative to the ugly traditional clipboards. I'm happy with them!

These are great clipboards. The clasp is well made and the color/design is just as pictured.
