Disappointed
Mostly powder, hardly any leaves, my tea had tons of floaters in it. I literally used half the bag and could barely taste it. Won’t purchase again.

Four Stars
Good tea. Doesn't turn red. I just wish it also came in tea bag form.

Good quality and fair price!
After searching for a Ban Cha green tea and buying some wrong ones, I finally found this product. The quality is good and price is not bad. Recommend it…

The people's tea!
Green tea, Ocha, in Japanese, is universally consumed in Japan at all levels of society. I had the pleasure and priviledge of living there for almost 3 years and associated with a wide range of people. This tea is the typical tea one finds almost everywhere. I have purchased many types of green tea before finding this lovely, middle of the road tea. More expensive tea is available and it is quite delicious. However, I wanted to taste a tea which took my taste buds and imagination back to the homes and shops of friends. This tea is common, the tea of the people. Not the stuff of tea ceremony, but a link to the Japan I knew and loved. If you want to find a good, inexpensive tea that you can drink all day and enjoy the simplicity of brewing cup after cup, Ban-cha is the one.

Nothing special, but worth the low price
Pretty typical budget-priced green tea. Not a lot of flavor. It is probably about as good a bancha as you are likely to find for the price.
