Q: Has this product been treated with any oils or chemicals?

Don't think so....doesn't feel like it has.

Q: How do you fix it onto to the tube you have already please

I just wound it round - one loop above another -and tied it off - but I was only replacing part of it. If you are replacing the whole thing it might be a good idea to spread some sort of glue (not poisonous to cats in case they lick it) on the tube first. I know one cat that used to get 'high' by licking sticky tape!!!!
