Power of Probiotics: My Journey with Organic Milk Kefir Grains"
Recently, I embarked on a quest to enrich my diet with homemade probiotics, starting with yogurt crafted from the L. Routeri culture. My curiosity didn't stop there; I wanted to delve deeper into the world of fermented beverages, specifically kefir, without the added sugars found in commercial options. That's when I discovered these Natural Home Remedies Milk Kefir Grains, a treasure trove of live, raw, organic probiotics, also known as BULGAROS.Upon arrival, I was immediately impressed by the condition of the grains. They were vibrant and active, promising a successful fermentation process. The package contained an ample amount of grains, ensuring that I could start my kefir-making journey without delay. What stood out to me, aside from the quality of the grains, was the inclusion of detailed instructions. These guidelines were clear and concise, making the process of creating my own kefir at home not just possible but enjoyable. It was reassuring to have such a well-outlined roadmap, especially for someone exploring this method for the first time. The result? A delicious, nourishing kefir that surpassed my expectations. It's been a transformative addition to my diet, offering a daily dose of beneficial probiotics without the unwanted sugar. These milk kefir grains have not only allowed me to experiment with and enjoy my own kefir but have also opened the door to a more natural, healthful way of living. For anyone looking to explore the wonders of homemade kefir, I highly recommend starting with these organic grains. Your gut (and taste buds) will thank you.

Worst I have ever bought
I ordered this product toward the end of Sept. They came quickly, no problem there. They are the smallest grains I have ever purchased. I sometimes travel for months at a time, so I have ordered grains a few times over the years, never really a problem before. I did 9 batches with these grains. Every batch turned out the same, it separated which is nothing strange, the strange part was no matter what I did it would not mix back together for more than a few minutes. Even tasting it during those few minutes it never had a kefir taste what so ever, it was like drinking water mixed with chalk, it was not good. I forgot where I ordered it from plus computer problems so when I found where I ordered it from believe it or not one day late for a return, as I write this I am only 2 days late. I understand a time period for returns so I don't blame them for that but I decided to do this review not because of not getting my money back or product replaced, that is my fault not theirs. But I feel that people should know the problems I have had with this product before they purchase. I have never had a problem like this with any other grains I have ever ordered over the years, including a couple of other places on this site.

Live, Strong and Effective
I received about a tablespoonful of smallish grains in a kefir milk in a double baggie, and immediately added it to a cup of whole milk (just the cheapest milk from the grocery). There were no big chunks in there like you see in the pic- what I received was fairly runny with particles of kefir no bigger than grains of coarse sand. Still, I have a heating pad and temp controller set up for my kombucha, so I placed my starter milk and kefir mix on the heat pad (set at a constant 78-80 F degrees) in a glass jar w a coffee filter/rubberband cover.Overnight, maybe 12 hours? the new milk had already thickened and became "overdone," separating into whey. I strained the grains and kept them in about a big tablespoon of the thick liquid remaining in my very fine sieve, and added 2 cups of milk, and back on the pad. in about 12 hours again, even more kefir. I did this for about a week, w 2 cups of milk each time, and ended up with two larger chunks of kefir grains, each about the size of a large pea. I was very happy and gave one of the peas to my mom. I'm glad I did, because I was overrun w Kefir by then, and put my grains in the fridge (in new milk) for about a week to take a break. When i re-started tho, the quality of the kefir did not get back to what I had built up to, and the kefir was runnier and less creamy. I was able to get a batch of starter again from my mom (who had extra peas by then) and i'm back in business. I don't use the heating pad anymore, because I have too much kefir. I place it in a cooler place in my kitchen near the window, and can almost make it for 24 hrs now w/o separation into whey.Bottom line, this stuff didn't look like much when I got it, but it was strong. I'm not going to be refrigerating anymore tho!

These are not properly cared for between the producer and consumer
I knew there was only a small chance that I’d receive a live product coming from Amazon. In order to keep the grains active and alive, they would need to be kept at a very low temperature with enough nutrition to sustain them. I knew as soon as I saw the package on my doorstep this was not the case. The grains are clearly not refrigerated at the Amazon warehouse, and were not shipped with any dry ice or any sort of thermal regulation. Just an envelope on an 80 degree day.Either way, I still wanted to give them a shot. So I followed the directions that were very poorly translated into English, and attempted to make kefir. I discarded the first batch like it says in the directions, then expected to be able to drink the second batch. All I ended up with was spoiled milk. It’s very clear when you have spoiled milk vs kefir.Unfortunately, even though the Amazon page says this item is eligible for refund, I went through the process on the app and it said that it was not eligible. So that money went down the drain, literally.Don’t waste your time buying dead bacteria from a warehouse. Buy directly from a source that properly cares for the product, and writes directions that are comprehensible.
