Ergodyne Chill-Its 6665 Evaporative Cooling Vest

This vest works well, I'm not experiencing the sliminess others have, it lasts about 3 hrs in temps over 110 degrees.I've used this vest many times now and recommend it.Good quality and a great price.It does make a few damp spots in your shirt but leaves no stains.No more heat exhaustion and that in itself makes it a worthy buy.I wear a XXL shirt but the vest fits perfectly in xl size.Zipper is plastic but of good quality.A metal Zipper would rust over time and rust will cause stains

Kind if bulky but cools me off when iam riding my bike.

We bought these because we knew the weather would be hot on the back of the bike. It worked amazing. Recommend if your looking to keep your core temp down in extreme heat

Wet heavy and slimy but does cool you off a bit

I used this vest while riding on a very hot and humid summer day in Kansas City. The vest absorbed water well, but the fabric is very thick and does not breathe well. It helped marginally while riding my motorcycle in slow, heavy traffic. But I felt as if I might have been cooler just soaking my T-shirt and not wearing such a heavy vest under my riding jacket. I wouldn't recommend this vest for Motorcyclists.

I do think they lose their cooling effectiveness as the summer goes on. I notice the vest is considerably lighter, so the little cooling granules are used up or possibly squeezed out by then. I get it as wet as possible and just try to barely squeeze out the excess water so that I don't leave a water trail from the sink to my work site (which is actually my car---I also don't really want my seat soaking wet...just me!). I am a mail carrier so my air conditioner doesn't help much in the summer when we work with the window open. These vests are far superior to the ice vests I was using as I can just carry a bottle of water and refresh it quickly. I carry a 6packsize cooler full of water and just dunk it in there every few hours and keep on moving!

Good color, well made. Weather cooled and had no need to wear. Wait until nest year. It is larger than expected.Typically I buy and extra large, however a large would have fit better. Heavy when wet.

I normally don't write negative reviews, but I was extremely disappointed with the product. I made sure I read the reviews before buying it, so im not sure if the description or people reviewing it weren't completely honest.Weighs at least 10 lbs after soaking it in ice water. Yes it stayed hydrated. BUT, it was literally dripping wet.I work for a DPW, so I bought it for the summer hot days in the sun.
