iPower 1000 Watt Vegetative Metal Halide Lamp MH Conversion Grow Light Bulb Lamp, High PAR Enhanced Blue and Violet Spectrums CCT 6000K

I'm quite impressed with the performance of this Metal Halide bulb. I have run this bulb 18 hours a day for only 3 weeks now, and the vegetative growth is prodigeous! I also have a new iPower digital, dimmable electronic ballast that I purchased earlier, also thru Amazon, and have had the opportunity to use all the available settings on my ballast-- 500watts,750watts, and 1,000watts. The light was very steady and constant, even between changes in wattage -- up or down. At 1,000watts, this bulb REALLY puts out the LUMENS, I don't have a meter, but it's INTENSE, believe me you..... I have grown before, using only High Pressure Sodium bulbs, but it's really HARD on young plants and seedlings, what they need is the cooler blue light of the spectrum, to build up their basic structure in preparation for flowering and/or fruiting. Yields can increase exponentially with proper use. ALL very young plants need SPECIAL care to become strong and productive later on, this bulb does as advertised.....I am extremely pleased with the bulb, BOTH for the PRICE and the PERFORMANCE...Delivered right to my POBox, really quick, just a few days, really!! The only, and I mean the only thing I could find wrong was that the shipping box did not have enough filler so that the bulb (in it's own box) was sliding about quite a bit, luckily I got it out, hooked it up, and it worked great! A LITTLE more packing material would be advised to make this a PERFECT deal, but if I need another...I'm getting it from these guys. FAST service and GOOD product!!

Received new product in original box, not sure what others are talking about. Been in use about 3 months, 18 hrs/day, could definitely tell it was bluer and certainly as bright. Excellent results so far. Would buy again. Update: Bulb lasted almost exactly 2yrs, approx 11,000 hrs, then exploded. Just a few big, hot pieces, but no big deal. Still would buy again.

Ipower is not the brand to buy. Many cheaper brands are of good quality,Phillips Apollo for example are not expensive but work great. Not a fan of the ipower.

Great bulb, it works great and lights up the whole room. The blue color light is just perfect for vegetative growth. It was kind of hot and heated the room up a bit. Really great bulb for the price.

I bought this for my indoor plants (orchids), i noticed a difference in growth in the first month , they were getting plenty of new growth. Orchids are very sensitive to light so i was concerned they may get burns at first , but they didn't. They should be blooming shortly and usually the blooms are erratic and go in all sorts of directions, im anticipating some really straight spikes this year with this bulb. The only thing i would say , which is true for ALL lights , is that you lose luminescence as the bulb ages so they have to be replaced shortly. You also will see a large spike in your electric bill , so make sure you have a strict timer , even a few hours of light is enough to see a difference , i keep mine on for 4 hours a day . Another great thing is they have a warranty if anything goes wrong. which is great because sometimes they burn out for no reason at all.

Well I see that some people have problems with the bulb and getting a replacement. I have been doing buisness with E-Marketing Solutions The price is great, the packaging is top notch, fast shipping and should you have a broken bulb or problems with your product just make sure you purchased it from E-Marketing Solutions they will ship you a new blub the next day . Their customer service is one of the best no hassels what so ever 5 star and I have been buying on line for years.I get two blubs for the price of one and never have to worry about any problems once I purchase it from E-Marketing Solutions I hope this helps those who have been having problems in the past.Also the bulb comes with one year warranty!

Ordered a 1000w MH and got it within 2 days, the bulb was damaged and I contacted customer support and found another bulb at my doorstep two days later! This is a great product with a great seller.

Apparently this bulb needs a glass shield/housing to be used. It was used in an open reflector and caused sunburn and severe plant burn. It took our tomatoes 2 weeks to recover after using this bulb for less than a week. Unless you have a glass shield/housing, I would not recommend using this bulb.
