I use this for car camping with my 4Runner. I had an earlier model that worked with my old 4Runner, but this is designed specifically for newer models where the 'tailgate' goes up instead of down. Once you set it up the first time it is easy to do. It can be done by one person but having a little help makes it faster. I had an older one that was fine but I think they have upgraded the design with new poles and other small features. It works as a stand alone tent as well as having the 'corridor' to the car set up.I also like the quality of the materials. It comes with a carrying bag. It is 'heavy' if you are used to backpacking, as I was, but as a car tent it is fine. 9x9 foot floor and 7 foot head clearance is just rght.

Excellent. So easy to set up and attach to car. I have a Toyota FJ and it fits perfect with the swing type tailgate. Plenty of space to stand inside tent. My 11 year old daughter and I set this up in less than 20 minutes on the first try.

I purchased this in anticipation of using it for trips with bunch of girlfriends who usually have campers. Because I knew I couldn't put it up on my own I waited for hubby to help me - then the Big Texas Freeze happened and prevented me from putting it up for about 10 days. When I finally did on 3/6, I realized I could not use it. Too hard for this 5'2", 64 year old (yet in shape and active). It's too tall and I had huge difficulties with the rain fly going over the top (because of height) and the "boot" fitting up and over and down my exhaust pipes. I had inquired about that and someone finally answered "it should work" on 2/16 (received it evening of 1/29/21). I attempted a return and found out I had only 30 days to return it - by 2/27. It was 3/6, I contacted the seller explaining if I could have extra days due to the TX Freeze and unable to go outside and set it up. The reply said the seller (Trends Auto) would get the question as well as Amazon and that it might take a little longer for a reply due to Covid. I've never received a reply and it is 3/16. NOW I must find a way to re-sell it and I live in a small town - it would be far to expensive to mail it to someone. I'm really upset to have wasted $357. I wouldn't have minded if it had cost less but this hurts! So, if you are short, older, female, etc, this may not be for you. Check it out asap so you don't get stuck like I did. Still waiting to hear from Amazon or Trends Auto - will call Trends Auto tomorrow.

Nice roomy tent. Floor is cheap polyester tarp material. My experience with this type of material is it biodegrades from sunlight and is not abrasion resistant.For a tent costing over $400.00 I expect better quality. Sent it back

I used this while camping at a Motorsports event. It worked great! Easy to transport and easy to set up, but!! Make sure you practice set up a couple of times before you go, because we all know we do not like to read directions! That’s ok, so watch the set up video on their website. You’ll be glad you did!

This suv tent is easy to set up, and seems to be made with durable materials, we tried it out last week on a camping trip in Big Sur, had no issues, and we would definitely recommend it to someone that has a suv or mini van.

Other than the liftgate being a little snug, it fit our Tahoe perfectly. Easy to assemble/disassemble and fits back into the carry bag. You'll want to purchase at least 8 longer, heavier duty stakes. A friend with a 2013 Jeep borrowed it for a Moab trip and said he liked it so much he's going to purchase one like it.
