Heavier than I expected for this security level
It's not a long lock so best used where is dedicated stands or hooks. However it is heavy, closer to 2kg.It's a reputation for being difficult to open so might take some getting used to. It's 9.5cm chain links so probably a bit of a deterrent. That said it does what I expected it to do so no complaints

UPDATE - lock gets stuck and cannot use it anymore
I wouldn't buy this lock ever again. I used it for over a year, but always kept the lock and bicycle indoors and after unlocking my bike and locking a lock itself, the key wouldn't open the lock ever again. I'm very disappointed as it isn't cheap and seemed good... but not for long.

Sturdy thick chain. Poor lock
I’d love to give this 5 stars. I’ve been using it for over 6 months now and the chain is great, very chunky to put off anyone potentially stealing my bike. However, the lock lets it down. There’s quite a lot of play in the barrel, a wobble which makes it more difficult than it should be at times to insert the key and turn the lock. Does the job.

unexpectedly not great...
Theoretically great.. love the concept/idea/design.. but in practice, the key snapped off in the lock very easily because it kept jamming from new, despite common sense, care and maintenance research.. we assumed it was our mistake and persevered, but came to realise it was simply slightly faulty, and key number 2 went the same way 3 months later.. it never really functioned without a slight or unpredictable jam. We felt slightly irresponsible because we could not retrieve it from the post it got stuck on. This also meant we could not return it. It was a birthday gift that we simply had to give up on.

Barrel jams and lock become unuseable
The key doesn't easy engage in the barrel and you waste so much time jiggling it around, it's a relief when if finally works. Sometimes I've just given up and gone for walk instead.... hopeless !!!! Unfit for purpose.This happened soon after purchase , however instead of throwing it away I contacted Kryptonite customer services - and since this comes with a lifetime warranty- they sent a replacement . So, 5/5 for customer services and a 1 star reviews changed to 2 star... but it remains to see if I have the same issues with the replacement
