Great little timer
This is a great little timer for whatever you need! Very attractive retro styling, easy to use, Small and space saving. The timer is not super loud but can be carried with you easily if you move out of range. It has a magnet, feels very strong, but I haven't wanted to try putting it where it could fall. Don't forget to turn the dial past 55 min and then set it on whatever time you want. I've been buying manual timers for 40 years and they all work like this. I bought one for myself, love it, and bought one for my 80 + year old mother in law, and she loves hers!

Just Absolutely Perfect
I love everything about this timer. I can't believe it also exactly matches the color and style of my kitchen clock! They have improved the classic white windup timer at least 6-fold and on top of that it is so pretty and analog! Sturdy. The accuracy is superb. The tone and duration of the ring is very very old-school pleasing, plus more lengthy and audible than the paltry ring of the old classic Sunbeam. The display blew my mind with esthetic appreciation as the aqua color on the timer's face waxes and wanes in concert with the minutes.Just take it past 35 min before you set it to your desired length of time. You can't help but be pleased. It will mark increments from one to 60 minutes.I adore it.

Good Timer
We bought this timer after being disappointed with the Zessenhaus timer, which was hard to wind. We have been pleased with this timer. It is easy to wind, accurate, its ring is loud enough and the visual display is handy.

(EDIT)Worked for a little less than 3 months, then stopped ringing. (Rebuilt it myself)
Great size, great price, and very cute; however, it only worked for a little under 3 months. A mechanical timer should work for a lot longer than that. We used this at dinner time to help enforce a timely conclusion to our daughter's dinner time, and it was brought out about 3- 4 times per week. As a strategy, it worked in helping her focus on her goal of finishing her dinner.Very unfortunate that the build quality doesn't last.FOLLOW UP: Sorry it has been a while, was just reviewing my reviews (oddly helpful practice actually) and wanted to come back to this. While I was very disappointed that the spring had come undone, I recognized that a mechanical timer is not rocket science, and I had nothing to lose if I took it apart and couldn't fix it. So, with a small.screwdriver and a lot of can-do attitude I was able to take the backing off and identify where the coils spring had slipped off, releasing the tension necessary for a satisfying ring at the conclusion of the timer sequence. It now works, I have not had to do this again, and I dare say it may have been a one off, or maybe got roughed in shipping. The point is, their is quality there, just be aware that it can fail; and also be aware that you can likely fix it yourself.Happy tinkering!

Doesn't ding
Beautiful to look at, but doesn't ding when it reaches zero. Useless.

Great kitchen tool
I chose the green color, which I would describe as minty aqua. The magnet on the back is strong. If stuck to something like a fridge, it takes a good tug to get it off. To me, this is good because it won't fall, and I can rotate the dial without having to remove it from wherever I have it attached . The sound is a "brrrnnnng," like an old-fashioned rotary dial telephone. The alert lasts for about 4 seconds. I have found that the loudness varies, depending on the location of the timer. For me, the sound is loudest when I have it stuck to the side of my fridge. Unless there is a high amount of background noise, I can hear it easily in the next room. I have had no problems with this timer. I follow the instructions for setting it (zero the timer, clockwise rotate the timer to 55, counterclockwise rotate back to the time you want to set), and it works perfectly.

Cute, but little
Cute little time, with the emphasis on little. Sticks to the refrigerator nicely, but is very small.
