Best I've Used
I do a lot of asphalt marking in my line of work. These lumber crayons are the best I've ever used. Do yourself a favor and keep these on hand vs. running to your local lumber store each and every time you need some. These are durable, a little longer, and put down a great line that's easy to reference in all lighting conditions. These, along with their railroad chalk made for a great combo.

Lumber crayons
Robust and brightly colored. Great for marking loads of lumber, as well as marking trees for firewood cutting. Prompt delivery. Great price.

Best crayons for wet firewood
The media could not be loaded. By far the best marking device I have found for cutting felled trees into firewood. These work best if the crayon is slightly warm or soft. On cold days a new crayon will take a few uses before it starts to mark really well.Only complaint is that without the crayon holder they sell, the full size crayon seems too long and at least for me, breaks in half on first or second use. Not really an issue since they still work, just a little to long out of the box.

Use for jointer guide lines!
I use these for scribbling guide lines on boards prior to running them through my jointer and they work great! I was tired of doing this with my pencil as the lead always snaps or I have to recharge too often. Ive gifed several of these to my woodworking friends because i love how well they work for this purpose. Highly recommend trying.
