Works well
We were hoping for a video for installation but couldn't find one. The written instructions that came with it, though, were fairly easy to use. It suggested mounting the defogger at 6'6" which wasn't going to happen in our bathroom, but we did install it fairly high on the mirror. We wired it to the vanity light, which is the easiest thing to do. If we were remodeling or building, we would have installed a separate switch. However, we didn't have the option. It works really well. We purchased the smallest size and our mirror was at least 6" wider and longer than the defogger. But it defogs the whole mirror except for a very small border around the bottom and the sides. We are really pleased with this. Just a note that we did get a new framed mirror and hung it on a z bar, which makes all this possible. You really can't attach it to a flat mirror that is screwed to the wall with brackets.

Solved Medicine Cabinet Fog
Magical solution to mirror fogging. My medicine cabinet mirror is now fog-free when I get out of the shower - where the pad is applied. Wired into the light circuit, I flip the light on and start my shower. When I get out, the mirror over my sink is fog-free! Installation is simple - if you have basic electric wiring skill AND have a nearby switch controlled light. I had to lengthen the included wires by 2 feet, then tacked them to the cabinet and around the door hinge, with a little slack to accommodate opening and closing. Then I drilled a 3/8” hole through the back of the cabinet and into the wall and ran the wire behind the wall up to the light fixture above my cabinet. A one-hour project that I appreciate every day!

Good but folded
For some reason, they folded it in half and shipped which then made it hard to apply and keeps a ridge in the pad.

Fantastic
Absolutely love this. Saw the 'effect' in Tokyo Japan on vacation in a little tiny bathroom with no fan. Seeing a clear mirror when it should've been heavily fogged up .. took a second for my brain to compute. hehe I knew I had to have it and this thing works exactly as advertised. Can't believe this isn't standard issue in American homes yet. I love it!Install - went nearly flawless. Granted, I have a little bit of experience in laying adhesive backed materials which made it easier but I think most people shouldn't have too much difficulty. Just watch a youtube video and you should be fine. I'm renting an old farm house (originally built in 1904) that has solid wood wall backing so just ran the wire up to the wall light rather than drill a bunch of holes (for those interested why I didn't hide the wire better).

Shorted out after 6 months.
Had this on the back of a bathroom mirror. It was not used daily but still only lasted about 6 months. It shorted out and caused my gfci to continually trip until I figured out it was this heater. It was hours of work to get it wired and connected to the wall switch. Wasted effort.

Amazing Mirror Defogger
I was staying at a hotel in Tokyo Japan and I took a shower and when I got out I looked at the mirror and it was totally fogged up except for a perfectly clear 12" by 18" rectangle. I had never seen anything like it and thought wow the Japanese are geniuses. So when I came back to America I looked on Amazon for a mirror defogger and found this one. I ordered it and when it arrived I took my mirror off the wall stuck this thing on the back, then drilled a hole from the center of the mirror through the drywall and about 3 studs to the switch box for my bathroom light. When I was drilling i hit one of my electrical wires and it sparked and tripped the breaker, but i turned the breaker back on and it was fine. Then i fished the wire through the hole and wired it up. It has been about 2 years and it is still working great.

Amazing product, works better than advertised
Very easy install. Size is maybe .5 inches smaller than advertised which is perfect so it is much easier to line up on back of mirror. 100% zero fog on bathroom mirror after shower now. We have a powerful new exhaust fan and still had to open the bathroom door to clear the mirror, now it’s perfect.
