While this is not one of the higher priced military brushes, I've got nothing but praise for this one. The size is very comfortable, the wood beautiful, and the way it brushes is amazing. Going off of experience, it can make the thickest, coursest,and even driest hair shine, and, trust me, your hair will look and feel healthier after a few strokes.Some reviews I read mentioned it shedding hair, and though this one has lost a few hairs, it's pretty minimal, and hardly worth noticing. Either way, I figure you still will come further ahead buying this one than not. The price is good, and it works great for Father's Day, stocking gift, or whatever. To be honest, I'm tempted to get it even for a baby shower, as babies LOVE it, and it is not too hard on their scalp at all once they have a little hair of theirown. Happy brushing!

Solid construction. The bristles aren’t pulling out. One side is soft, the other just slightly more stiff. For me both are just right. It’s a nice brush for my beard.

I had done a lot of research on this brush before buying it. Diane brushes are extremely popular within the 360 wave community. I've had 360 waves before and it took about two months but when I started using this brush my waves came in A LOT faster. Not to mention that this brush made my hair softer, shinier, and it just feels amazing on your head (boar bristles are great for your hair). The brush will lose some bristles for the first couple of days but that's normal and it stops. It's not too hard and not too soft, it's a medium brush. This is my favorite brush btw! Not that it matters but this brush also looks amazing, the wood is dark gray with a nice finish, and the bristles are black and gold and brown. You can use this brush pretty deep into your wolfing sessions but if you have coarse hair like mine when you get into the late stages (5 weeks and up) this brush will work but it wont penetrate your hair enough to make your waves deeper. For the price of this brush you get OUTSTANDING quality, the phrase you get what you pay for doesn't apply to this brush at all it could be a lot more expensive than this. The only reason I give my Diane #8119 4 out of 5 stars is how firmly the bristles are(nt) placed. I use this brush a little more than my other ones but that still doesn't make up for the fact that the bristles on the left side have begun to sway inward. This happens to brushes but it happened way too early with this one, its begun to feel more like a softee rather than a medium brush but remember I have coarse hair and I brush 1-1 1/2 hours a day. All in all you can't go wrong with a Diane brush!

This is a seriously good brush. Both sides provide different and handy access to effective brushing styles. Wish I hadn't been messing with Dollar Tree brushes for the last 20 years and did some research and followed through with a purchase on an item like this. I will update this review as to it's durability through some use and (hopefully gentle) abuse.I'm ending on a old soccer coach's quote:"You look good... you feel good... you feel good... you PLAY (live) GOOD (well)!"

Great buy!

The stiff side of this brush is REALLY stiff and scratchy. The soft side isn't bad, but is softer than I like. I've used a similar Wave Enforcer for several years, but forgot it when I went to work remotely and bought this one. I can't wait to get back home and use my old brush!
