I bought this in my final year of undergrad to use out in the field, as I was finishing up my geology degree and needed a durable clipboard to do mapping with. I liked that it had the clear cover to keep a map clean under the top surface, as well as the inside to store extra materials, like a field notebook.I cannot understate enough: this thing will still exist in millions of years. It is so much more durable than I could have possibly imagined. It has been beaten, bruised, dropped off rocky outcrops, kicked from cliffs, has tumbled down piles of jagged desert rocks, had rocks dumped onto it - you name it. Whatever a geologist out in the field could possibly do to this thing, it has been done. And it endured countless hours in the desert heat. Left out in the sun. You name it. And it's just fine! This picture is from when it was brand new, on its maiden voyage, but even with a thousand deep cuts and scrapes, it still works just as well as it did that first day. No clasp or hinge ever broke. My classmates who had come out with metal clipboards not only were burdened by extra weight, but those also get hot. This one doesn't!If you want a sturdy clipboard with space inside that does its job - look no further. This thing has your back.

I purchased this for my husband as an alternative to a standard wood clip board. I’m glad I got this one because the first week of football practice they stood in the rain and this kept his print outs of football plays dry and safe.

However, my experience with the product was marred by durability issues. The lock mechanism broke within the first week of use, undermining the security of the stored documents. Additionally, the transparent clip, meant for easy visibility, quickly became scratched, making it difficult to clearly see the contents inside. While the clipboard does fulfill its primary purpose of document storage, the shortcomings in build quality and visibility compromise its overall reliability and value. Potential buyers should be aware of these drawbacks before considering the purchase.

It's hard to imagine how a clipboard could be more useful, with its clear plastic board with storage underneath, and a second, larger storage compartment, which I use for class paper and even pens if I wish.Most clipboards have storage of some sort, but the outstanding feature of this one is the transparent top panel that allows me to keep my student roster in constant view. I bought this in December for $20 and it costs $26 now, but the product is well worth the cost. Seems like I've had it for a very long time. It's just that useful and valuable to me.

Update: from use the clipboard is no longer sticking and the front clear cover has not cracked or scratched while using it as a lap desk while typing on a computer. The Microsoft edge laptop fits inside also. I enjoy it so much that I purchased a backup! I enjoy the clear cover as I store a large picture to reference during education.Old Review:I have other clipboards by this brand and find them durable but I am not sure how durable the clear cover will be over time as I like to use the clipboard as a laptop table when typing on my computer and this may become scratched if I do not have a paper clipped to the front. I have found this to be the most useful clipboard to store my papers and schedule (20 papers in front clear portion), schedule on clipboard, and iPad Pro 2020 12.9" with slim case (fits both the simple cases with and without attached pencil holder) with apple pencil, and magic keyboard (or regular bluetooth keyboard) in bottom portion. Perfect fit. I include a piece of thin foam (from iPad case shipping package) when I do not use the keyboards and to protect the iPad screen further. The bottom portion gets stuck on one side when opening (i.e. 4 stars) and I have to lightly pry it open with both hands but this may become more functional over longer use (only have used it for a week).

Great product to use as a swim coach, car show judge or any activity where you need to hold papers and write while not at a desk

He was so excited that I got this for him, he loves the clear top compartment for his checklist, and he loves the storage underneath. It has plenty of space in it for papers, pens, a phone or tablet. He works in tree service and its only a matter of time before something cracks or breaks, and this has held up well over the last few months.A very useful, durable, and versatile clipboard.

Have used for nearly a year on a daily basis and still going strong. Stands up well to minor knocks and I have had no issues. Would recommend and buy again….if ever need to.

First impressions are that it is exactly what is says, a clip board with a clear screen plus storage which I have found easy to use.I bought it to use outside around sports pitches whilst I am coaching to keep team sheets and notes dry which I am please to say it does as it has rained heavily the last couple of times it has been used.But I have to say that the outer clip rivets to the case now show signs of rust and clearly will continue to rust if not kept dry. I am a little surprised by this so early on in its use. I will continue to use it and see how long it lasts.
