Q: Will this holster fit a glock 43x?

NO. This is Part # 575-283-412. Make sure the full model number matches to what you want (from Safariland site). This does hold 43/43x. But it moved around quite a bit. There is about 1/4 inch gap on both side of the gun. The holster is designed for a thicker gun like the 19. The middle number (283) is for the thickness of the gun. The correct number for the 43/43x in left hand is 575-895-412. They don't show the full model number on Amazons site so its hard to get the correct one.

Q: Will this holster fit a gen 5 glock 19? The reason i ask is because I had this holster before, a while ago, and it would not fit a gen 5 G19.

Yes it will. I have a Gen 5 G19 MOS and it fits even with the red dot. It will also acomódate suppressor height sights.

Q: Does this holster fit the glock 17

Yes, it will fit the Glock 17 but the muzzle may stick out the end of the holster a little bit.

Q: How wide of a belt does this holster fit?

According to the manufacturers website this item will work with any belt width as it comes with different adapters to accommodate different width belts.
