Winsome Wood Drop-Leaf Kitchen Cart

Excellent quality kitchen Cart. We were able to put together in less than an hour, simple directions even though parts were not labeled. It was very easy to follow the visual directions. So glad we found a solid wood product, they seem to be hard to find today. Would highly recommend.

I don't think I've ever reviewed anything, but this cart has literally increased our quality of life in the kitchen.TL;DR: This is a SOLID WOOD kitchen cart with versatility, and best BANG for your buck in any kitchen with limited space and storage. I HIGHLY recommend having a ratchet driver plus the bit.Let me preface that I did over 3 months of reviewing every cart offered on amazon and some outside of amazon when moving to our smaller apartment, because we would be having SIGNIFCANTLY less counter and storage space.Main concerns: height. build quality. size.PROS:BUILD: This is REAL SOLID wood. outside of some of the drawer bottoms, everything is some type of solid wood-- which was our biggest gripe with searching for other budget carts.HEIGHT: It turns out this is the perfect height for chopping, prepping, etc. I am 6'1" and I enjoy where this sits. It was much more practical in real life than when "measuring" it out before buying.VERSATILITY: The side leafs are so so so helpful when prepping for any meal. I can't emphasize this enough. When the side leafs are down, it stores anywhere nicely, and when I need more space, it takes 10s to pop both up. In the photo, I finished using the leafs for prepping, and brought the cart to the stoveCASTERS are so smooth and heavy duty. SO many of the other cart offerings were just too cheap in materials in every department... this cart doesnt skimp.STORAGE: I have all my knives plus some misc measuring cups and other things organized with some metal trays. In the middle section, i have my 3 main pans. And in the bottom cabinet I store oils and tall bottles in a wicker basket plus ALL of my cutting boards.CONS:Some of the holes can be a little tight during the building process. Tolerances are not 100% tight, but thats to be expected. As mentioned above, I highly recommend having some type of ratchet for getting all the screws in or your forearms are in for a treat.Due to tolerances being a little off, one cabinet door rubs slightly on the shelf above. but nothing harsh enough to cause damage.

There were some wood chunks coming apart but we glued them and assembled it anyway as the imperfections were on the underside. It was already unboxed and we figured it would work as intended. It's been several days and it's doing the job and it looks nice in our kitchen. My 17 y/old son assembled it in about an hour or less. I like the fold out extensions as we need the space to walk around when not in use. The drawer is good for keeping dish towels or whatever works for you. Also the shelf underneath gives space for baskets and extra stuff needing to be stored away. You can only lock 2 of th casters so this is not an immovable structure, in fact, it moves with a little push, even with the casters locked. So I'll have to get used to that. I figured it'd be more still when locked, but it works ok.

The box on arrival was scary to look at, and I expected it would take a long time to assemble, especially as I unloaded the many pieces. THEN...out came the parts and screw box. WOW...not much in there! Looking at the various wood components, I was shocked to see that many of the pieces had been preassembled with smaller components. The only thing I had to do was wrestle the pieces into place, insert and tighten screws! Amazing! The whole system came together and was completed in 35 minutes by myself. It probably would have taken a lot longer if I had relied on the included hex driver, but I used a small drill with the appropriately sized hex insert.Not a scratch or misaligned part anywhere on the cart. Everything came together extremely smoothly, and while some pieces were not marked with part numbers, the easy-to-follow illustrations clearly delineated the parts for easy recognition.The cart itself is beautiful and fits in our kitchen very well, while really standing out aesthetically. The drawer and lower doors operate very smoothly. The wheels simply glide and the brakes hold well. The wheels were able to be installed without any help, just a little body weight pushing them in.I don't have the right words for how pleased I am with this purchase and the value for the low, extremely reasonable price. Absolutely exceptional, and I wouldn't hesitate for a second to buy again if it was accidentally damaged or destroyed.I give it my HIGHEST recommendation. Look no further, you have found "IT"! A+++UPDATE MAY 2019I have now been actively using the Cart for nearly six months and it is still absolutely perfect. It has been a godsend for our kitchen and gets literally daily use. Perfect design and construction is holding as it was as new.Reiterating my STRONG Five Star recommendation. This cart is the bomb!UPDATE NOVEMBER 2019Now a year later I am still in love with this cart! I use it daily and run it through many torture tests. It remains like new and I couldn't be more pleased.
