Have an older system for our mechanic's shop and occasionally issues with rodents. One ate thru the serial cable for the barcode printer and our parts buyer came over and asked if we had a spare. My bosses son, who thinks he's a real computer expert, said "They don't make cables like that anymore!" Maybe not in your world, game boy, but I knew where to find one! Works great, labels are printing and price was fantastic! Couldn't be happier.

There is not a standard for color wiring on DB9's I do not think.Pin 2 was yellow.Pin 5 was black.Using this to log an AFR gauge in HP tuners.

These cables work great and seem to made of decent quality materials. I expect that I will lose it before anything breaks on it. I would highly recommend buying a couple is you use these as much as I do. They can sometimes "walk off" in my office never to be found again.

I am using to extend the 9 pin cable for Logitech 5.1 sound system and the cable works - sound is great and the controls on the attached speaker work correctly. Only flaw is that the female end doesn't have way to lock onto the male connector body so the connection is not physically secure. Since I am running the cable through a tight space I had to purchase the correctly sized threaded standoffs at the local hardware store to avoid having cable ends pull loose while installing.Since the picture shown on the item page is correct I am only knocking off one star. Would be helpful if manufacturer offered a version with 2x 4-40 1/2" female-female standoffs (like picture) so the two mating 9 pin cable ends can be physically secured, or even include as a standard part of extension cable package.

This cable seems to be well made and works as it should. Good cable for the price!

It did work but sent a current of electricity that made a humming sound in my speakers when using. I had to return it.
