This carrier is one of the best I've ever seen and certainly the best I've ever had -- and I've been a cat mom since the late 1970's. Because it folds down flat, it's easily stored in the hall closet instead of in the basement. I keep the cat's rabies certificate in the pocket because in MA it's a hassle even to go to the Emergency Vet if you don't have the certification. Because the handles are held together I can just slide the seat belt through them and buckle the cat in when we travel. And yes, while we're on local roads I'll stick my hand in by partially unzipping the top and reassurance. One of my friends purchased this after borrowing mine twice. Another friend, who happens to run a cat rescue, saw mine and ordered one for herself. She loves that it hardly takes up room in her vehicle yet is quickly available if she is called for an injured or ill cat. I've washed the pad numerous times and it's still great. The zippers have never stuck. My current cat loves this so much I leave it in the living room and he uses it as his cat house for snoozing at least once a day. You will not go wrong with this purchase.

I bought the first carrier in 2011 and it’s held up all these years. I have multiple cats though and my old hard cover carriers have had it. So, I’m getting another! I didn’t think this one would still be available and after looking at others on the market I decided to see if this one was around because of its many positive qualities. It’s held up well.Much to my delight, it is! It’s comfy, my cats will sit in it when they aren’t going somewhere in it. I like the view windows, the top that opens which allows us to calm my fur babies when they’re feeling stressed, or put them in the carrier when they’re being resistant.My vet and their techs absolutely rave about the fact we can unzip the whole thing to get an anxious kitty out without further mental trauma. It’s literally mentioned any time we see a new person there. I strongly recommend this carrier!

I am so glad I got this. We were planning a move which would entail 12 hours in the car for our cat, so I was really anxious to choose a carrier that would be comfortable for her and feel safe for her. I agonised over the options, and eventually chose this one based on features like the tether and the seatbelt loop, and of course on the many positive and detailed reviews. We bought it a couple of months before the move to give her a chance to get used to it. I was worried initially because for weeks she wouldn't step foot in it. She'd come near, put a paw out, and then change her mind and run away. So I started putting her food near it and then in it, and she very quickly got over her discomfort. She still, however, didn't want to hang out in the carrier. So I moved it to her favorite chair, and it was immediately a hit. Of course, she was less thrilled on the day of the move, but after the initial stress, she settled down, and, I suspect, was more comfortable than anyone else in the car, since she at least had room to stretch and turn around! The ability to hook her harness to the tether was a very useful feature, as it turned out she was able to nose the 'front door' open once during the trip (only because my husband hadn't closed it properly and had left a gap between the zippers). That feature also gave us peace of mind that she couldn't bolt as soon as we opened the carrier. I do wish the top opening were a bit bigger, as I think it's easier to put a cat in from above rather than trying to force it to go in through the front door, and although I managed placing her in from above, I don't know that I would do it that way again. Maybe she would have gone willingly in through the front anyway. Anyway, what really makes this so worth the purchase is how much she loves it at home. It's her safe space, and she still loves to spend time in it. Clearly, the travel didn't ruin it by association.

This carrier is perfect for my little pup. The seatbelt of the car goes thru a strap on the back of the carrier to hold it in place so she can ride safely and won't dangerously wander about the car. It is easy to set up and take down. My pup really likes to lay in it, so I have it set up for her in the house. The only con is the type of clip used to anchor your dog or cat to the carrier. The clip design makes it very difficult to use on my dog's harness, so I probably won't be clipping her in it. So far, she rides okay just laying in it with it fastened by the seatbelt.
