The Problem Is Not The Bottle, It's What's In The Bottle
I've never written a review for anything; good, bad, or indifferent. But i'll make an exception for this. First. i've been a fountain pen user for nearly 50 years, since i graduated from high school and that wasn't as unusual as it is now. I've also been using a variety of grey inks over the years, including Iroshizuki's excellent Kiri-Same and Fuyo-Syogun formulations, and Mont Blanc's Oyster Grey, all of which i can unhesitatingly recommend. So it was with real anticipation that i ordered this grey ink from Caran d'Ache, which cost significantly more than i've paid for any of the other inks in my collection. On the plus side, the packaging and bottle are impressive: solid, substantial, and unique. What's disappointing is the ink that's in the bottle. I found it so faint a grey that on the paper it looked the page had been written with a fine No.4h graphite pencil; that is, hard to read even under good light. After trying it in a number of my fountain pens of various make, I've reluctantly put this ink in a drawer with other inks that have been consigned to being used only infrequently, if at all. However, with all the other grey inks in my collection, all of which i think are superior to the Caran d"Ache, I can't, off the top of my head, think of what might use this ink for, unless it was for sketching rather than letter writing.

I can't decide what's more beautiful, the ink or the bottle it comes in
This is a beautiful chromatic brown that comes out a bit lighter than you might expect, but with a charming tone nonetheless. The bottle is so nice I like to keep it on my desk. Not only is the bottle nice, but the packaging that the bottle comes in is pretty as well.

Hypnotic Turquoise is a magical color
It works as well as other Caran d'Ache inks, behaves wonderfully on every paper I have used so far. It has this beautiful shading that almost glows. Very pleased!

Great ink properties and beautiful bottle
Colour, Idyllic blue, not the most exciting blue in the world but a solid workhorse blue ink. Where it does excel though is it's properties, extremely well behaved, no feathering, show through or bleed on even cheap paper.Never dries in the nib, even in some pens that have given issues in the past with hard starting. Feels smooth and nicely lubricated. I will get more of this idyllic blue once I run out and will try more of the inks in the range.Presentation and the bottle is beautiful as has been widely commented on in online reviews. The label on the bottle will soak off so once the ink is finished I will use the bottle as an ink well for other inks too.

Brilliant quality
I buy these for my son who is an artist who has used inks in his work for many years - this is his favorite brand - and the most beautiful bottle.

Runs wet and good pen ink
Use it in my Caran D'ache, Sheaffer and Pilot 95s pens. All good.
