Ok this rope is no joke. Tried to cut it with dikes and cable cutters. No joy. I got my big bolt cutters and that did the trick. The truck is to wrap the part in electrical tape before cutting and cut in the middle of the tape. It’s a little difficult to tie a knot but not impossible. All and all a good rope for a flag. It’s definitely not going to break!!!

Very strong rope. Metal insert is a little hard to cut and hard to tie knot. I used clamps on ends of rope to secure. Rope holds up in strong winds.

If this rope lasts as long as it looks like it should, it will have been a very good investment. My old rope became frayed in spots so badly that I knew it would break in a windy situation and then I would have a very big job getting a new rope through the top pulley. I purchased this rope and pulled it through by connecting it to the old rope. The only thing that I have any concerns about is this stuff is hard to tie, but with a little creativity you can figure out what works best for your situation. I am very pleased with this purchase.

I bought this because we have high winds during the winter regularly and my wife’s Christmas flag is heavy and would break the rope. This is no longer an issue with this rope.

This is a sturdy, tight wound poly rope with a steel wire center and resistant to frazzling. I unraveled one end a bit and tied a couple of knots to the old rope and pulled it through the flagpole pulley. Doesn’t stretch. Works great. I was glad to find it.
