WeledaFace Care Plumping Oil, 1 Fluid Ounce, Plant Rich Moisturizer with Pomegranate Extract and Aloe VeraNatrue

My skin loves this Weleda Almond facial oil. I started to use this oil in 2008 while I was living in Freigburg, Germany. It took me a little while to get used to the faint fragrance of almond, but after that, I started to fall in love with it and have used it since then. If you are sensitive to scent and chemical, I'd recommend you to try it in a small amount first to see how your system would react to it. The oil is not fragrance free (in my opinion) because I can still smell the sweet and distinctive scent of almond when I apply it on my skin. However, it is a natural scent derived from natural ingredients. It is not overwhelming to me. I use it on face daily all year round while I lived in the Bay Area in California because the weather is dry there. It is also great to be used as a medium to help thicker facial cream (like Weleda Cold Cream) to spread more evenly on and absorb into the skin better. In the Northeast, I limit my use of this oil during peak summer time. Because of the design of the cap and the band around the neck of the bottle, it is not sealed very tightly, it might spill when it does not stand up right or when there is in a pressurized environment like on a plane. Therefore, when I travel, I always put the bottle in a small-size zip-log bag and seal it so that if it spills, the oil is contained within the zip-log bag.

I have been trying to find more natural products for my beauty regimen- and I also like to keep it simple and low maintanance. I have been using this oil at night after I clean my face for about 2 months now and I love it. It moisturizes my dry cheek areas well, but doesn't make my t zone too oily. It soothes my face so that when I wake up in the morning any irritated areas I had the night before are gone. I am actually able to just wash my face in the morning with plain water and its perfect. You would think that putting an oil on the oily parts of my face would result in more breakouts, but because it has controlled my oil production, I actually have barely any breakouts.The big test was when I used it during a plane flight- which always dries out my face and the the next day I break out ( of course at the start of a vacation!) But again it kept my face well controlled.You don't use much each time and the bottle has a controlled dropper so you won't mistakingly over pour. Thus it's a good value as well- I figure its going to last me at least 6 months. Best of all it has 3 all natural ingredients-with nothing unpronounceable. I would recommend trying it!

I would recommend this product to anyone in need of a reliable skincare solution. The hydration delivery of this oil is just phenomenal and it significantly improved my skin's radiance. I love how it prevents moisture loss, keeping my skin soft and fresh all day. Plus, it's free from toxic chemicals, making it safe for daily use. All in all, a worthwhile purchase!

I have been a Weleda fan for decades. When I first tried the Awakening Oil, I was delighted; it made a perfect night moisturizer alone or blended with face cream, with a lovely natural scent. It absorbs quickly and leaves a smooth matte finish, so it's useful during the day as well. I liked it so much that I ordered another batch before finishing my first, as it appeared that it might be going out of stock. Unfortunately the new expiration date was exactly the same as my first batch...and wheat germ oil turns rancid fast. Then I noticed on the website that the whole "Awakening Oil" line was being replaced with a bright red label to emphasize the pomegranate oil (the latest skin fad!). Now I'm uneasy about placing another order and receiving an expired bottle. Isn't it possible to provide both a reliable production date as well as an expiration date, to clarify the "freshness window" of what is otherwise a beautiful blend? This would be my favorite oil if I could rely on it being fresh!

First oil I tried when switching from normal moisturizers and still one of my favorites, as it calms my skin. Did not cause my sensitive skin to breakout and got rid of the tight, itchy feeling the "moisturizers" left behind. Make sure to apply to a damp, clean face with damp fingers and do not rub too aggressively. Pat/press gently, instead, and if it still feels like it is sticking, add more water to fingers. I do not rub until it is all absorbed, just pat around evenly and let my skin soak it in over time before bed (yes, my face does look like an oil slick, but then I just gently blot off the excess after a few hours). Only negative is that after a couple weeks it did not seem to moisturize as well so I started mixing in rosehip, apricot kernel, jojoba oils.

I was a bit worried that this would be too oily and break me out, but was down to few options when searching for a really non-toxic facial moisturizer. I am so glad that I bought this facial oil! First of all, it is packaged in a blue glass bottle with a dispenser top similar to that of an essential oil bottle so you don't get but one drop at a time. I put one drop on forehead, two drops on each cheek and another drop for nose and chin. Gently massage this oil into a freshly washed face and wow! It is not irritating. It is soothing. It has not broke me out at all. It soaks right in and leaves a glowing soft skin. My makeup goes on just fine. It really doesn't have a noticeable scent. I paired it with the Weleda Wild Rose Smoothing Eye Cream and I'm overall very pleased.

I have been using the Weleda Sensitive Cleansing Lotion, this Sensitive Face Oil and the Sensitive lotion for two days now. My skin feels 1000% more nourished than the MULTIPLE Glossier products I had to use. I am so thankful for the mild scent that doesn’t trigger migraines and the simplified skin care routine. I will certainly be a loyal Weleda customer from here on out.
