Monroe Wall Sconce, Oil Rubbed Bronze Finish, Frosted Glass Shade, Dimmable, for Bathroom, Bedroom, Hallway – Design House, 514604

We bought two of these lights to replace one aging hall fixture and wire a new second fixture on the same switch. Both came well packaged with no shipping damage. Finish is uniform, welds are secure and overall well manufactured. Install was easy onto 4" round wall boxes (also would have worked on rectangular box). Instructions very good. we had no issues with glass slipping out or not seating properly. Glass is thin, so handle carefully.We put in 6.5 watt, 500 lumen LED (2700K) bulbs. The light throw is very nice. To increase the outward reflectivity, we applied aluminum duct tape behind the shade (see photo). Note - NOT "duck" tape, but the actual metallic vent sealing tape. We put the tape 1/4" below the top to 1/2" above the bottom so you cannot see the metal tape with the shade in place.All in all an excellent fixture for the price.

I purchased two of these lights for a bedroom and am so very pleased with the quality as well as the look of the lights.Also, i want add that hooking them up was not very difficult.Very Prompt Service!

Overall I like the product. It was a good value considering the other fixtures I liked were 2x the price. It is sturdy, well made, and has a nice finish. It is all metal with a glass shade. It uses bulbs with a B11 base.Only thing that bothers me, is the square feature of the metalwork seems very slightly crooked, as if rotated counterclockwise. This is barely perceptible, but I get hung up on it and always see it. To check, first I level the sides of the base using a bubble level, I average it out from left side to right side because they are not perfectly parallel. Then I put the level on the top of the square feature, and I observe that bubble is off to the right, with about 1/4 of it beyond the line. I will not return the product because of this, as I do not think most people will ever notice it, and I think overall the product is a very good value.

Installed one of these in a short hallway, install was easy and straightforward and the fixture looks great. I did put a spot of silicone on the frame where it touches the glass because there was some play between the two pieces, that worked well and isn't visible.

I needed a light that would disguise my hue bulbs because they aren't the most attractive bulbs. The opaque shade allows light to pass through without being able to see the actual bulb. The opaque shade can be removed and just the clear shade used, but it looks so much nicer with the opaque shade. The light was well packaged and minimal parts so it was a quick install. It's a great light and would make a beautiful bedside sconce, we used in the hall as a sconce. This light really would look great with many decor styles.

Absolutely in love with these lights. They are easy to install and are truly oil-rubbed bronze. They look great in our bathroom. We did increase the lightbulb wattage as it was too dim for us with the suggested ones.

I installed this light six years ago. Still looking brand new!
