Reliable and Chemical-Free Protection
I’ve been using the Rael Tampons with the Slim Applicator and Organic Cotton Core, and I’m really impressed! They work great and offer reliable protection with both regular and super absorbency options. What I love most is knowing that I’m not putting any chemicals in my body, which is especially important for me since I’m very sensitive to them. These tampons are gentle, comfortable, and effective, making them the perfect choice for anyone looking for a natural, chemical-free option.

Best organic tampons that changed my cycle!
I was looking for a organic brand to use that has a plastic applicator, cardboard ones and non applicator ones are iffy to me. But these are great! They're very absorbent and since using them my period has gotten A LOT more manageable and less painful! My only concern is that the wrapper is of like a paper material so it is VERY NOISY, if you're okay with that then these would work for you!

A Reasonable Choice for Allergy Sufferers.
I developed an allergy to traditional rayon tampons so I had to find a cotton alternative. I settled on Rael tampons due to their shape, plastic applicator, and fewer bad reviews than the other cotton brands. I am mostly pleased with these tampons, but I am old and have only a moderate flow. If you have a heavy flow, I suspect that all cotton tampons will leak a lot. The BPA-free plastic applicators on these work just as well as Playtex. They are comfortable and easy to use. Each is individually wrapped. The tampons don't open into a rectangle when wet (those are painful!), but they don't open into a flower/umbrella like Playtex either. They are cylindrical in shape and they just get fatter when saturated with fluid. Not much fatter, mind you, because their absorbency is limited. The challenge with cotton tampons is that, if you pack the cotton too tightly, it doesn't absorb; if you pack it too loosely, it leaves cotton balls inside of you. Rael has found a happy medium, but it's not as absorbent as rayon.I have bought both the Regular and Super sizes. The difference between them is the length. They have the same diameter. Super is not fatter. According to Rael, the Regular size holds 6-9 grams of fluid while the Super size holds 9-12 grams of fluid. The Super size is shy of 2 inches long; the Regular size in 1.75 inches. There is only about one-eighth inch difference between them. I don't see any point in owning both sizes. I buy the Super size.I will criticize one aspect of the design. The end that you insert is curved, but the end of the tampon that has the string is blunt. It should be the opposite. You're pulling the blunt end against your person when you remove the tampon and it feels blunt. I'm sure Rael did it this way because they also sell these tampons without the applicator. In that case, you need the insertion end to be curved. With a plastic applicator, that end doesn't matter. The solution would be to make both ends curved.

I do not like these! Tips if you bought them and are stuck with them.
I truly hate these tampons. The cotton is harsh and lets off fibers if touched. Yuk! If you're the slightest bit dry (in between flow) they're painful to put in.They seem to get longer but don't seem to absorb very well.Lately, when buying these I was scoffing at everyone saying the cardboard applicator was horrible. I thought about ones I used in years past that seemed just fine, but alas, these are NOT like those. They don't slide easily and getting them going is almost impossible. 100% impossible if you accidentally get blood on your fingers. There's zero grip.TIPS: If you bought these and ae stuck with them, the way I insert them is to push out 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch then make sure to push fully before any moisture hits my fingers.I'm looking forward to when these are finally gone.

The best!
After all of the studies coming out about big, well known tampon/pad brands having forever chemicals and toxic metals in them, I was on the hunt for a good, organic dupe. I’ve been a Playtex Sport girly all my life, and I needed an organic tampon brand that had a solid applicator and was comfortable. These Rael tampons are the closest thing! The absorbency is different, but I assume that it’s because it’s organic cotton. The Super is more similar to a Regular in Playtex, and the Regular is more like a Light. Just something to keep in mind, but I love these! I’ve made the permanent switch over!

Good but needs work!
I want to love these and I continue to buy them for the simple fact that every other tampon on the market seems to be poisoning us. That being said for the price of these the company definitely needs to work on a few things. The actual cotton part gets stuck in the applicator when inserting and takes it right back out. This will happen so frequently that it’s just a huge waste. They also are easy to leak through if you have a heavy flow so be warned. I would love these if they could work on the applicator issue!

Good tampon
These are a good cleaner brand of tampons. The plastic applicator is not as good as tampax but are there any clean brands of tampons that are the same ease as tampax?
