Very good quality!
I just ran out and bought more of this, I've been using it for about two years now. Repairing several different things, and most recently I run it diagonally on my bed sheets so they stay in place. One strip on each of the corners, it works absolutely wonderfully. Also seems to hold up very well, I highly recommend this elastic if this is the size you are looking for.

My favorite elastic
I’ve bought this three times. It’s a great elastic. It’s soft and gentle but does need some over stitching as this will roll. That’s worth it because controlling elastic is so uncomfortable. I always reach for this one.

Sewing products
I added this to my sewing stash for projects. Love the durability and I can cut my desired length to fit my project. The tackiness on the back is perfect that I can sew through it without my sewing machine acting up.

doesn't measure 2 inches
I ordered 1.5 inches (this is correct width) and 2 inch width (measures about 1/16 inch narrow). The slight discrepency in width works for me. I sew a lot of waistbands and this is perfect elastic for the application. It is soft yet sturdy. Doesn't lose it's stretch at all, even with sewing through 2 layers of medium weight french terry fabric for jogger waistbands. Slight chemical smell (vinegar like) is expected with elastic and it's not noticeable when applied to the sewing projects.

This is a great material to help me keep a cover on my speakers.
I have a cat that lives in my office building. I also have my theater in there. My cat scratched up the cover of one of my speakers that is worth $260 each. I bought felt type 3 feet of material for each of my speakers my speakers. I then made three "belts" for each speaker. I place a board in front of each speaker and then I staple velcro on each "belt" that a wrap the three "belts" around each speaker. My cat has to stay in my office so our six dogs don't kill him, or he kills one of them. Anyway, this material is elastic and is absolutely wonderful to be used to keep my cat from tearing up my speakers. When I brought my kitten home on Christmas eve 3 years ago, I named him Honey, because I thought he was a female. I took him/her to the vet to get him/her "fixed", he told me she was a he. So, now she/he is name Salvatore. He is now asleep on my recliner. I love my cat, but, don't get one. They will tear your house up.

A good quality item.
After many washings it retains it's stretchiness. Many such items look good to start but don't hold up. This is as good as new after using it for months. Very impressed.
