Good dry cat food
This product seems to help keep cat's weight down. This cat has bad knees so we want to keep weight at a good level. Both cats seem to like it very much. It is a little pricey but better than surger.y.

Weight loss is complicated.
My overweight cat loves this, but isn’t losing weight. She may be eating more of it than she should, but she is a 10 yo Persian and doesn’t like to exercise. Her idea of playing is lying on her back holding a toy in her hands!

Prevents craving just as claimed
I have a large male feral cat that hangs around my home. He has been neutered because he has a notch in his ear. He has a coat of full, long gray hair, so when it is summer in Houston he gets virtually no activity and just lays around in the heat. I have tried other diet foods in the past, but he would be incessantly at the door begging for more food all day. With this food he seems happy with his usual feedings and does not ask for more. He likes a mix of wet and dry, so this food is only half of his diet. He seems like he has lost some weight (difficult to weigh a feral). The other feral that hangs out with him and my indoor cats love the taste of the food as well. One of the indoor cats is super picky and I was surprised to see her eat it.. Definitely the first diet cat food I have ever tried where cats seem to really like the taste.

Works as Well as Prescription WC Foods
Pros: Lower calorie than usual OTC "indoor"/light cat foods, no prescription required, formulated with fiber, acceptable taste, seems to be somewhat fillingCons: Still more expensive than usual OTC cat foodsMy cat has had major food and weight issues ever since she was spayed. I tried science diet's and royal canin's over-the-counter "indoor"/light foods. On both, she kept gaining weight and complaining hysterically if I tried to reduce her intake below a half-cup. Desperate, I switched to royal canin's prescription-strength weight-control cat food. I was able to stabilize her weight (though not reduce it substantially) on the prescription food while continuing to feed her a half-cup, which seems to be the minimum amount she needs to feel like she's being fed adequately. But the RC food was very expensive and required either constant new scripts from the vet or spending even more money to buy online from occasional sellers who would overlook the lack of a script (but charged you a premium for that privilege). This new specialized OTC brand seems to work as well as the old prescription food, without the attendant hassles that came with it. She eats it without complaining, but she usually leaves some in the bowl throughout the day. And so far she's maintaining on half a cup. Most cat owners probably don't need food this specialized or expensive, but I was grateful to find it.
