Great stain and coverage but colour bleeds alot
I have used Henna for many years due to an allergy to chemical hair dyes. I use henna then indigo as a 2 step process but I thought id try the deep red henna for a change and to see if i liked it enough to grow the indigo out and use just henna on my greys, ( i dont). I mixed it with some lemon juice and warm water and left it to sit for the stain release before applying then leaving on for 4 hours. The colour is slightly darker than the usual bright copper orange of henna but it wasnt deep red on me and still had a copper orange hue even after a few days left to develop. It wasnt enough of a difference from the plain henna for me to want to use it again. I stress here this is only on my grey hair, the rest of my hair is too dark for it to show up, the colour may be completely different on non grey hair. The stain on this is very strong and completely covered all of my greys, take care when applying as it really does stain anything it comes into contact with and quickly. Rinsing took alot longer than usual and the reason i have given 4 stars is the colour bleeds. I have had many other henna from both this company and others and this is the only henna i have ever used that bleeds. Even over a week later after applying indigo and washing with an sls free shampoo my hair is rinsing with an orange tint to the water and slight transfer to towels. Personally I would not use this again as it does not suit my needs and the colour bleed is annoying, i will stick to the standard henna and continue to 2 step dye with indigo.

Excellent natural looking beard dye
I wear a goatee and it had a lot of grey in it, but my natural hair colour is very dark brown. I was tempted by Just for Men but put off by the horror stories about blistering skin and so forth, so I decided to give this stuff a go. I followed the advice given in another review and mixed one teaspoon of the henna and three teaspoons of the dark brown mix, and used coffee to make it into a sludge which I left on my beard for about 2 hours. The result was quite pleasing; although the grey wasn't gone it was tinted dark brown which looked quite natural. A couple of days later I repeated the process adding a dash of apple cider vinegar (as per the included instructions) which deepened the tint a bit further. If my grey had completely gone I think the result would have looked unnatural, as it is the grey is closer in hue to the rest of my beard but the variation in tone looks very natural, unlike products like Just for Men which give a much more uniform result. Next time I think I'll use a slightly higher proportion of the dark brown in the mix as my natrual colour is very dark, and I think just topping up every 3-4 weeks will be sufficient. My original sludge used 4 teaspoons of the powders and I ony used half of it on the two applications (if that) so I expect the contents of the packet to last for months, if not years. Great value and a great result.

You get the colour but it will bleed endlessly until it's gone!!! Not buying again
So This henna is great. On the first two pictures you can see the immediate result and the third one is what my hair was before, I already had ginger tint to it from normal copper henna. I wanted more cool tone red so I bought this and indigo to cover the gingerness. It did a great job, keep in mind I added 2 tablespoons of indigo mix into it to make it darker and cooler so that may help I guess. I can still see some warm tones in the lengths but it's not so bad. I'd give it 4,5 stars but it didn't let me so the reason I am giving four is that it bleeds like hell! I had to rinse it so many times, it took me like 40 minutes to do it. It is probably the clay in it. Applying vinegar wash after rinse help. I hope it won't bleed much when I wash my hair. Please make sure you wash with cold water!UPDATE : ok so after about a two and a half months of having this henna on my hair I must remove one star as it still bleeds every single time I wash my hair! It is due to the red clay in the mixture which gets you that wine red colour but unfortunately it bleeds until is not there anymore. Not buying again

Very long process…
Make sure your schedule is clear for the whole day as you will need to use this product. Probably best to buy cream henna!

Very Mild
I have been doing henna on my hair for six months. I also got into conditioning powders like brahmi and amla powders. I felt like this henna left my hair feeling very smooth and soft but I didn’t get much colour like there was more of the conditioning powders in the mixture although it doesn’t say that in the ingredients. I got less intensity than the light mountain bright red, it was quite mild. Also even though I rinsed it for 20 minutes thoroughly powders kept falling from my hair as I dried it and my combs changed colour after brushing my hair. I did follow the instructions correctly leaving the henna to set 8 hours before using, though the instructions are not as detailed as other henna products I have used. I will go back to light mountain once I try the burgundy pack I already bought and continue my conditioning powders in between hennas. This did not stand out from the other hennas I used though it advertises to be so.

Not as dark as I thought it would be, thankfully!
I usually buy the red shades, which comes with one bag of powder. Fancied trying the dark brown colour for a change. This comes with a bag of pure henna and a bag of the dark brown colour, which I believe is the indigo powder. You are meant to apply the pure henna first for a few hours, rinse this off and then apply the other powder and leave for a few hours again. After using the Q&A section I was advised that you can mix both powders together and apply to the hair as one. But was also told that for best results to apply separately. To save time I applied in one go. I was worried about it coming out too dark but the colour makes a nice change and wasn’t as dark as I thought it would be. Henna guys have some lovey shades, the reds are amazing and the best henna product I have tried.

Product has almost reached its expiry date
Disappointed to find that the 3 packs of henna I purchased will expire in 4 months time. They were manufactured in August 2017. I didn’t expect this poor outcome from an Amazon purchase. My order also took 9 days to arrive. I won’t risk using this seller again.
