The pen itself is five stars as any original Jotter. The new price deserves one star.I have used original Parker Jotter pens for 50 years and probably I will continue using them for the rest of my life, but... I ordered two pens on June 2017 and paid $12.95 each, which was really high. I lost one of them yesterday, so today I went to my orders list, clicked "reorder" and the price now is $21.95. WOW!!! I clicked "cancel". I prefer American, but not at twice the price of the made in France version.

I’ve written longhand for years and love Parker pens. However, this was specifically advertised as writing black ink. Pen arrived and writes blue ink. I can still use the pen, but will have to spend more money to purchase Black refills as I write exclusives with black ink.

Definitely made in USA. It has the Gillette brand marking on it so the production is between 1993 - 1996. It has the Parker clicking sound and the emblem on the top of the cap. Much more refined than the new ones. Be careful clicking the pen can be addictive.....and annoying to your cube mate. Happy writing :)

It is not better than made in France Jotter but... It is made in the USA... Even beeing french I wanted this. And it's nice !The only thing that can be annoying is that some series of modern refills do not function properly.I read somewhere that Fisher spr4 refills fit. I will have to give it a try.

Asking me toevaluate a Parker pen is like asking me if I like sunshine. If you use a Parer pen, you know what I mean. If you don't you won't know until youtry one. If you try one, you'll never go back to what you're using.

One drawback to buying new old stock in original packaging is that the refill in these 20-year-old packages leaks oil(?), not pigment, all over the inside of the pen. Another one of these older, made in USA, pens I recently bought had a refill that leaked so much oil(?) and dried to a sticky goo the refill would not slide out of the pen.

My dad used to love these pens...great to get one of the last USA made ones
