Wanted to start raising chickens. This is good book to check out kinds of chicken an their color of eggs.

this is a great little book for a quick overview of the different breeds of chicken in this world. nice, colorful pictures. really liked the info about the temperament on the different breeds. helps with finding the breed(s) you could be interested in, and then if you want more in depth, detailed info, you will need to get additional books/resources to further your research. this book is a great starting point.

This book is a good start if you are looking for the various characteristics of common chicken breeds. One caveat, the chicken on the cover is never identified! It's also important to note that this is a UK publication, so some of the breeds might not be as available on this side of the pond.

Make sure you check the size before buying! This is only 5x7 inches. A little larger than my hand so the one picture of each breed included is hard to see details of some.

This book helped me understand and recognize the breeds I purchased.
