So glad we did
Husband had rotator cuff surgery and we knew from him having the same surgery on the opposite shoulder 10 years ago that he would need to frequently ice his shoulder to help manage his pain. The cuff covered his shoulder well and could be adjusted to customize the fit around his should and upper arm. A few days before his surgery we decided to make sure we could put it on and knew how to make any necessary adjustments before his surgery. So glad we did! It was a little bit challenging and took us a few tries to get it right. I definitely recommend making sure you do this before the surgery and become familiar with where all the straps go so that you're not doing this post-surgery, causing unnecessary pain and frustration. We gave the cuff and pump to the nurses in recovery so that they could put it on my husband and he could wear it home. One of the velcro straps managed to get lost. Thankfully the design allowed for the nurses to use one of their own velcro straps!Would definitely buy this cuff again for a shoulder injury or surgery.

Comfort for the aches
The cryocuff had been my best friend since the onset of extreme pain in my shoulder. I had one years ago after surgery on my right shoulder but my surgeon no longer uses them. Apparently some people are stupid and got frost bite from over use. I had surgery on my left shoulder and wanted one for recovery and pre- surgery comfort. I highly recommend the cryo cuff for pain relief.

Very good product.
I recently had total shoulder reverse replacement surgery. Cryo/Cuff worked very well, especially after exercises. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that even with the extra large strap, the fit is not that great for a 6'2", 250 lb. person with a decent build. Other than that, great product!

not cold enough unable to get it on or swap ice one handed
I have the automatic cryo cooler with a knee cuff… worked great for knee surgery, so purchased the shoulder cuff.Did not fit when I had the dressing on for the first 3 days, where your really need it.Even after the dressing was removed, it still did not get my shoulder cold enough and swapping out the water / ice in the cooler one handed was impossible… have to hold the handle and the tip it with the other.A dual set of large gel packs worked MUCH better, much colder, easy to pull out of the freezer with one hand.

No shoulder surgery patient should be without this!!
This cuff is the best invention ever!!! I lived with this on my shoulder for the first three weeks after my rotator cuff surgery. I can not explain the relief from this. It was so easy as long as its above shoulder level it fills up immediately with the ice water. You must get this if you are undergoing shoulder surgery you will be so glad you did.

It did what it was designed to do but....
If you are reading this review than you are either preparing for or you have already had shoulder surgery. Good luck, be patient. it takes time to heal. You are gonna need a comfy chair to live in for at least a month.I thought this would be the answer to all my icing needs. It worked OK but I found it was just as effective but less convenient than using jell packs from the freezer. I mean, you have to go to the freezer for both but there is less chance of spilling jell packs at 3am when everyone else in the house is asleep. Trying to attach the hose, drain, refill, then detach the hose one handed was frustrating to say the least. I found the jell packs a bit cooler and easier to apply and adjust how they sit on my already painful shoulder and after my first week I could do it myself. The hospital will probably supply you with a few jell packs and a velcro holder before you go home. just stop by CVS and pick up a few more and you are all set. Save yourself some $$

Critical to have after rotor cuff surgery!
bought this for my cryocuff cooler to use after my rotor cuff surgery! This works like a charm and kept inflammation down so no pain medication needed except ibuprofen! yeah!
