Yes you will have to remove any bar bags as they will interfere with most racks for mounting. You can always get around this by moving the bag to a different part of the bike but then you have to affix it back when riding for functionality.

I have the iPhone X and it just fits. Based on what I now of your Phone, it is going to be close, maybe too close. I would look elswhere
