My kid loves to play with it!

As with any kids toy, there's the likelihood it won't survive the ride. I picked up this set because my son was going through a garbage truck obsession a few months ago. Almost three months later, it's still a go-to play toy, but it's lost the main novelty of connecting the trash cans and lifting them up due to the lever busting shortly after the first couple of uses. I glued the lever pieces back on several times, but it's beyond the point of repair for that mechanism now. A few other things to keep in mind:-- Be ready to spend about 20 minutes or so putting this together once you open it. Luckily, most pieces snap together, or can be screwed together using the included screw (which is small and plastic, and makes it nice to have your little one help you assemble).-- It could just be mine, but the included batteries didn't seem to last very long. So far, we've gotten by just switching them around, but it's not the most convenience of task when you have to unscrew a few pieces to get back to the battery cover.Despite the few flaws, the truck itself still works great as a representation of a garbage truck, and the cardboard pieces that come with the garbage cans have helped to teach our little one about which items go in which receptacle.

This truck is on the smaller side compared to some others. The trash cans are also small and the clip that holds the cans is difficult to use and my 3 year old can’t quite get it. Also there is almost no space inside for debris/trash and large plastic mountings and panels block any large pieces from moving back into the trash holding area. As a fun bonus one of the sounds/lights patterns is a police siren but it’s kind of out of place on this vehicle.What this is really meant for is older kids who want to use the included tools to disassemble the truck and put it together again like a model. It has small plastic pieces like the headlights that can come off easily when disassembled and can be a choking hazard for younger siblings so beware this is more of a tinkerer’s toy and not like some of the other toddler-oriented trucks. I probably wouldn’t get it again.

Bought it for my grandson's 4th birthday. He loved it so this was a great purchase for me. The truck handles some roughness so, for that, I was happier.

This garbage truck was a little harder to put together than we thought. My husband and teenage daughter did most of the work and then my 4 year old boy helped in the end. The mechanism that actually lifts the trash can into the truck did not last but a few weeks, but my son is hard on things, so I was not surprised. the truck overall is great for the money spent. Just keep in mind, that the younger and less mature the child, the more apt they are to damaging certain areas of this truck. My son still plays with his and it was purchased several months ago. The trash cans hold up well and he also loves those.

It came fully assembled and I was happy to see it ready to go. Very cute and informative. But not something that is easy to play with. It takes a long time to attach the trash can to the holder. It came off after my grandson tried it a handful of times. It’s taking me over an hour to put the crane part back together . It’s very flimsy. Doesn’t hold. I threw away the box and don’t know how I can return it. Waste of money. Should have gotten the more expensive one.
