this review is for the NETTA Gym Floor Standing Fan ( with 5 18'' blades )the fan comes fully assembled and ready to use.it is very well built in a all chrome finish , it looks like it can take a lot of heavy useage.the fan blades are safely enclosed in a steel cage.the fan is easy to disassemble for cleaning.the motor does not come with a remote control however the controls are mounted to therear of the motor. it simpily consists of on/off , low , medium , high buttonsas to power , it is incredible.......low power shifts a huge amount of air across a room , it will easily provideyou with a cool breeze when sitting about 5 metres away.medium approx 50% more and 50% more for high , so at a high setting you can get a breeze effect from about 10 metres away.be aware that at high setting , you can have doors slam , food dislodged from plates , drinks spilt , documents scattered , small animals blown away , wigs blown off etc.some have commented with regard to noise. well my fan operates very smoothly out of the box. at low speed i did not have to turn up my telly or anything. what i hear is the air shifting not the fans motor.at medium and high setting it is a little louder but honestly nothing to be concerned about as i do not think most people will need to use these settings for long , the fan is so powerful.the fan is very powerful , built like a tank , good looking in chrome and at £69.99 is a great buy.

Great fan during the hot weather. It does generate a slight buzzing noise but that is to be expected when you have a powerful fan so that's alright and it's not too loud so you can still sleep comfortably throughout the night even when it's switched on the whole time.Provides good air ventilation and cooling for a medium sized room. Don't know how it compared against other modern design fans but coming from a country where it's 32°C ++ all year round, I can vouch the pedestal fan is more than enough for your cooling needs.

I already have one industrial fan , but I have a big bungalow & with the current climate I didn't want to risk it . Two adults and a cat , all of which hand medical conditions heat contributes to these . This fan Is excellent value , Not as noisy as the reviews state - I have the TV on and it's just a background noise . The power of the of the fan on number 1 ( minimum ) I can feel from 30ft away and performance and power is excellent. It's not overly heavy but sturdy and and weighted , a good size as stated in the advertisement. Highly recommended

The media could not be loaded. Awful to put together the motor is so heavy it always tilts down. The clips were all bent to put the front cover on and then to top it off the fan itself is quite but the noise of the motor is not and when you go up in speed the motor gets louder and louder. I paid £49.99 on offer and it's on its way back the overall product quality and design is poor.

This fan moves A LOT of air right from the start on level “one” and then much, much more on levels two and three (there is no remote control but four sturdy buttons ; “OFF” “1” “2” & “3”). To be honest, I bought this fan to move a lot of air which it does very well. I’m very pleased and impressed with its efficiency.The fan is not silent but it isn’t the motor or any part of the mechanism which makes the noise, it’s the amount of air being moved by the five blades which makes the noise. In anticipation of another hot summer, this fan will be a boon as it easily ventilates the rooms in my high ceiling Victorian flat. In addition to ventilation, this fan would be great in a gymnasium environment and would easily keep you cool if you were doing static exercises or running on a treadmill.If you want or need a high airflow fan then I have no hesitation in recommending this 18”unit. It does make noise while it shifts huge amounts of air but you don’t get silent hurricanes either!!

I own several floor standing fans from different brands. Some fans are for the office and others for home. I was particularly impressed by this one because it has more blades than the other ones, thus it needs to rotate at a slower speed (and thus makes less noise) than the others for the same amount of air to be pushed through. Definitely a good option and way better than air conditioning (which I get sick with).
