I bought this product on the recommendation of my brother-in-law after having done exhaustive research on the internet that recommended other products. The battery on my Subaru Outback had failed after about four years, which should be expected, but reading internet postings on the Subaru battery failure settlement had made me suspicious about future battery failures that could be in my future. With each battery failure costing me $75 for a jump start from the service station, a reasonable pay back would be expected. I had my first failure of the new battery yesterday from leaving the rear door of the Outback open over night. I tried to start the car and the instrument panel lights went dead. I charged the new Bolt as instructed and it was ready in about an hour. I carefully followed the instructions to set up the Bolt to jump start the car. I was able to balance the Bolt on the battery with the fairly short jumper cables attached. The first attempt was unsuccessful I surmise because the headlights were on. The second attempt was also unsuccessful possibly because the air conditioning was on. The third attempt was also unsuccessful probably because some of the other electrical features of the car were operating. At this point the Bolt would not let me do another jump start and recommended that I contact a car mechanic. I recharged the Bolt, which took less than an hour and made another attempt. While the Bolt was attached, but before I attempted to start the car, the instrument panel was lighted, and I made sure that the headlights, radio, air conditioning and all other electrical accessories (just quickly hit the keyless ignition button) were off. The Bolt jump started the car that time. It seemed that I needed to reduce the electrical load to just that required to start the car and the Bolt worked. I am not sure if the additional electrical loads were what caused some of the individuals whose Bolts were unable to start their cars their problems. The temperatures were in the 80s when I was using the Bolt so it was not adversely affected by cold weather. Since I only expect to use the battery occasionally, the small size of the battery post clips was not a concern. I was successful this time, and probably saved at least $75, if my time has no value. Because it is light-weight and compact with easy instructions I will keep the Bolt in my car, try to remember to recharge it every three months, as instructed, and have recommended it to friends with these caveats.

Every car needs this. Easy to use and great value for cost.

Presented as a gift to a single mom. A must have when traveling. My niece said she left her lights on and ran down the battery down to the point the car needed a jump and it started her car in seconds.

I purchased the HALO because of a recommendation. It didn’t disappoint. Worked on a completely dead battery. I also used it to charge My phone and My Family’s during a recent Family Gathering. I highly recommend purchasing this , it’s a lifesaver and having this in Your Car(s) eases Your worries about being stranded with a Dead Battery, definitely a wise choice. I purchased another brand and it didn’t stay charged. Should have listened to the recommendation the first time. I’m satisfied.
