Works well and made well
This product works exactly as described. it was of immediate use in sorting out a problem on the high side. If fact I made the high side ground and added a new wire for the high side. Problem solved. It is sensitive enough to indicate connection or impedance problems based on the number of lights. It seems well made, with good directions and great service. Make sure you follow directions and connect ground first or it's possible you could get a little poke because your body can act as a capacitor. I am speculating because I don't know how much voltage actually passes through the device. I fussy about gimmicks, but this one is for real.

Works just fine!
A lot of reviews say the lights are too dim. They are dim, but simply cup your hands around the tester and look closely. Electric fences pulse their voltage about once a second, so the lights will only light up about once a second. I was immediately able to tell that my solar charger was putting out 6kV by watching the pulsing lights.

Good value and for occasional use
Bought this inexpensive tool to confirm my solar powered electric fence is working. It's a small fenced area surrounding my bird feeders to keep bears out, so I don't need to check a large run or check it often. Tool works as describedThe ground probe is a bit flimsy, so the tool is not good for frequent use in hard ground. Recommend to wet the groubnd with water before inserting probe

Works fine in dark situations. cannot read in sunlight.
It seems to work perfectly when the sun is not so bright to wash out the display. For my purposes, it served the job.

Cheap and useless
Wouldn’t work. Tried to see if my electric horse fence was live, it didn’t register any current, touched it with my hand and got shocked.

Simple product - good value
Works fine for occasionally checking fence. Showed that my fence is "hot", but the charger puts less voltage on the fence than I thought. Much more useful than the single light testers.

Worked for me.
Sure, the lights are dim, but they are bright enough to see in the shade.
