If you have a kid that either can't tie shoes well, or is just kinda lazy about tying them, these work great. They come in multiple colors and the laces are nice and thick. Only took a few mins to put on and you have to make sure you put the laces into the connectors in the right direction before burning off the extra with a lighter but they are easy to install and hold up well!

I gave this to a senior member of my church. She wore special made shoes and the strings were too long. These shoe laces made her very happy as her feet were sliding in the shoes, she stated she no longer has this problem. They have just enough stretchiness to make it easy to put on and take off her shoes. They also look great.

My 10 y/o was disappointed I got her lacing Vans for Christmas instead of slip ons. A quick Amazon search found us these elastic laces and they are exactly what we needed to switch these over (plus, 4 colors for $10 is great b/c I have other kids who might want to change out their laces after seeing hers!).It took a couple tries and reading reviews to get how to finish them off (and now that I think about it, I could’ve laced them the other direction and finished the closure at the toe but, oh well!). My only tip is to be sure your lace length at the finish (where you knot it) is enough to give some stretch for sliding in the foot. I had to undo my knots a couple times to make sure I had the correct length when the closure was secured (which was just really an estimation b/c you can’t close it until each side of the lace is knitted, cut, and the end burned).They look great and serve exactly the purpose I need and the 10 y/o is happy. Only reason i gave it 4 stars was the lack of instructions including and having to look that up at the product page.

These laces were easy to install. They have nice tips for threading through the holes. I just tied them like regular laces and they stay tied. There is just enough stretch in the laces to keep my foot in place. I like that the elastic in the lace gives a bit as my foot swells and as I walk. I am able to slip my foot into the shoe easily and don’t have to tie them. It is nice to have the option to use the metal covers and clip the laces as the video shows, but then I won’t be able to use them on a new pair of shoes. That’s because if i clip the laces I will have trouble feeding the ends through the holes. I recommend these for all ages.

First of all: these work. They will do what you're trying to do just fine. Probably.A couple big issues:The first is the packaging is poor. They leave the metal connector pieces loose in the back. A couple have sharp edges and that makes it enormously easy for them to cut a hole in the bag so you end up missing some of them. There are no extras, so if you lose one, you lose a pair of laces. That happened to me. All they had to do is either screw them together before packing them or pack them in their own small plastic baggie (like most people have figured out to do with loose metal parts) and there would be no problem.Secondly, whenever you have two smooth threaded metal connectors screwed together like these do, they will tend to come loose on their own. The fix for this is to provide a small/thin rubber o-ring (like the rubber bands they put on orthodontic braces brackets) on the male connector which will provide the necessary friction and tension to prevent them coming undone on their own over time.Anyway, these are my thoughts. So very close to excellent, but with a few more cents they would have gotten them all the way there.

I bought a pair of shoes with shoe strings and I did not want to have to tie my shoes so I bought this product. It works great. Now I can just slip on my shoes.
