Lego has been creating specialty sets nowadays. It is really difficult to find just a basic set. I have no idea why they make it so difficult for people to find the classic Lego set. This particular version is the actual classic set. Or something close to it anyhow.

This is the type of LEGO I had been searching for for years!!! So glad I stumbled upon it. These are the classic bricks that I grew up with - and allow for my kids to actually BUILD buildings and things without following any directions. We LOVE this set! We actually love it so much we bought a second! I’m looking at the education car/wheels set next!!!

It's soooo hard to find a set of just regular Lego building blocks! Most everything you find is a set with all sorts of specialty pieces but almost no standard building blocks. All my son wanted to do was build according to his own imagination and it took me FOREVER to find this set. It finally came and he absolutely LOVES it. This is by far the best Lego set we've bought so far (and we've bought several). Highly recommend this if you want to let your kid's imagination go rather than the other sets that you have to build using instructions.

I've bought many different sets and classic boxes of Legos, but I never seem to have enough standard bricks in the right colors to build anything on my own in a color scheme that isn't hazardous to your health. This set is perfect! It only has standard bricks and plates, in a good variety of colors. I had more than enough blocks to produce several different creations at once. My only problem now is that some of those bricks are tied up in creations I don't want to dismantle, so I may have to come back to buy another set for play.

My daughters (5 and 3) love this Lego set. They play with it everyday. It comes with a lot of bigger bricks so they can create houses. My oldest enjoys following the building cards that came with the set. I purchased an additional set with wheels and other parts that are for building cars. It was an investment but very much worth it because Legos are timeless. I also enjoy building with my kids!

This is the PERFECT Lego set for those of us who grew up with an assortment of Lego pieces in a box. This was the kit that finally pulled my kids away from the mentality of "we must follow the assembly instructions" to more free-form play and building. Yay!The only way this set could be better is if it included even more pieces, and possibly some longer blocks. Be aware that the box is not suitable as a container, so you'll need something else for long-term Lego storage.

Granddaughters love doing it and I get to help. They love the different colors and make rainbow images.

This is exactly what it says it is. Full of BASIC BRICKS that can actually be used to build something! They run expensive but if you’re looking to create “the box of legos you remember from your childhood”? Then it’s worth it to buy all the educational boxes and mix them together. Good usable pieces
