Nice heavy cleaver
Again - yet another Zwilling Pro which seem to be the perfect cleaver for chopping through rib bones, very well ergonomically balanced - easy to comfortably and confidently hold even when chopping hard and fast through some of the toughest cuts with bones. Holds a sharp edge after repeated using.As with all Zwilling Twin Pro (which is different than Zwilling Twin Professional) fairly pricey, but these cleavers should last a couple of lifetimes - will them to your grandkids!As with other Zwilling Pro series, they are "dishwasher safe", but the dishwasher will discolor the rivets on the handle, so you're better off hand washing (which gives you a good opportunity to inspect the edge and see if you need to steel the edge).It's got a beautiful finish, a very nice cleaver even though it's an expensive once-in-a-lifetime purchase it's very well worth it.

Just has a really good feel to it when you are chopping through meat and bones. Perfect size for any kitchen chopping.

Good match for my Wusthof Classic knives.
I have been collecting Wusthof Classic knives, one at a time over the last few years and wanted a “meat cleaver” to finish filling my 25 slot Wusthof knife block. Unfortunately, the only Wusthof Classic cleavers available that would fit in my block are the Chinese variety, or their 6” meat cleaver with a straight handle that I don't care for. Also, the Classic cleaver has no steel bolster, the plastic handle looks like it ends by the blade; Wusthof's other meat cleavers are too wide. While searching around, I came across this Zwilling Pro 6” meat cleaver and found out it’s only 3” wide, the handle looked very much like the handles on the Classic knives so I decided to give it a try. This Zwilling cleaver is quality German made cutlery, has a steel bolster and the beefy, visible tang that runs the length of the handle is a hair less than 3/16" thick. It’s well balanced, feels good in your hand, is beautiful to look at, and feels heavy enough to easily cut through any bones I would be dealing with. It is a pretty good match to the Classic knives, I am very pleased.I added 2 photos to show the Zwilling cleaver (fourth slot down from top) in the block with the Wusthof classic knives.
